Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande. I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.
It’s trade deadline day and transactions have been going on all over the NBA. The implications of all the moves will continue to be discussed long after the 6-game slate we have tonight is locked. For that reason, I’ll relegate such discussion to #nba-talk and instead get right to what we are all here for, the top 6th Men on the slate tonight! Let’s dive in!
Our own CashKeg returned with a bang! He might consider being under the weather a little more (I KID! I KID!)
There’s some winning going on in #pga-talk! Check it out and get in on some golf action!

6TH MEN OF THE DAY
PG – Jevon Carter (3500/3400): Carter is the only backup left for Conley and Holiday tonight. Both Conley and Holiday will play 35+ minutes in this one, but the extra 20 minutes or so they can’t be on the court for will probably go to Carter here. He makes for an excellent drop score candidate and one who could get extra run in the event of a blowout.
SG – Lou Williams (8200/7400): Sweet Lou has seen a price increase and for good reason. Now we get a different dynamic here for him. Danilo Gallinari is back, but Tobias Harris is gone. Sweet Lou will continue to be relied upon off the bench to carry this Clippers team. Love him in all formats.
SG – Terrence Ross (5500/5100): Ross has been playing heavy minutes for the Magic with Simmons out. Now that Simmons has been traded away, he will be locked into the same kind of minutes tonight. Ross is averaging 30.5 DKPs in 28.2 MPG over his last 5 games. He is hot right now and given his price, it is good to continue riding this train. He’s a core play on both sites.
SF – Norman Powell (3800/3700): CJ Miles and Delon Wright are gone, opening up minutes for Norman Powell here as a backup guard and SF. He will get a nice bump here to the 25 minutes range, making him an excellent GPP play tonight. The plus matchup against the Hawks helps tremendously. He is an excellent drop score play on FD.
PF – Domantas Sabonis (6400/5900): Sabonis has only averaged 21.5 MPG over his last 6 games. This straight up relegates him to GPP only territory. That said, he is popping up on the PF value list for tonight and the Who’s Hot metric for PFs. The matchup against the Clippers is excellent, and he doesn’t need many minutes to crush value. His upside coupled with an excellent matchup makes him a very viable GPP play on both sites tonight.
Those are your Sixth men for today. Good luck out there today Army!
