Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande. I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.
We have an eight-game slate on our hands today. There are some great studs in good positions on it, making the search for value today critical. Luckily for us, there has already been early injury news that has opened up key-value both in starting lineups and off the bench. Let’s dive into some of the top plays off the bench tonight.
Our own CashKeg returned with a bang! He might consider being under the weather a little more (I KID! I KID!)
There’s some winning going on in #pga-talk! Check it out and get in on some golf action!

CORE PLAYS
SG – Lou Williams (7700/7300): Sweet Lou continues to dominate with Danilo Gallinari out. Add in his stellar matchup against the Hornets and his 50.3 DKPs in 25 minutes effort against this same Hornets earlier in the season, and you have the making of a core all-format play. It’s not just a one-game thing too, look at Sweet Lou’s history in the graphic below.
SG – Terrence Ross (5000/5000): Ross is averaging 28.5 DKPs in 29.4 MPG over his last 5 games. Excuse the dud he laid in his last game and the numbers look even better. The matchup against the Thunder at SG is one we have attacked with success. We will have to watch Jonathon Simmons progress today, but Ross is a core play here at his price.
SF – Gordon Hayward (5000/5000): No Kyrie Irving and no Marcus Morris just to name a few. There’ll be minutes here for Hayward. He hasn’t been sharp this season, but his best games have come with Kyrie out of the lineup. With the minutes he’ll get and the excellent matchup against the Cavs, he should have no problem paying off his salary.
PF – Montrezl Harrell (7200/6600): Harrell is still too expensive for his recent production. That said, there is no denying the fantastic spot he finds himself in. He’ll see 30 minutes tonight against a Hornets team that has been getting destroyed by centers. In their last meeting, Harrell went for 49.3 DKPs in 29.3 minutes. That’s hard to pass up on tonight.
GPP PLAYS
SF – Stanley Johnson (3600/3500): Stanley Johnson is your ultimate GPP play. He has a 40+ ceiling on any given night. The problem here is playing time inconsistency. You just can’t predict how many minutes he’ll get. In his last game against the Knicks, he went for 38 DKPs in 27.5 minutes. He makes for a fantastic drop score play on FD and a GPP play on DK for those MMEing.
PF – Kelly Olynyk (4500/3900): Olynyk is enjoying a resurgence since Derrick Jones Jr. went down injured. Olynyk is lighting up the Who’s Hot and Clock Watch Metrics. He is averaging 27.2 FDPs in 29.3 MPG over his last 3 games. His history against the Blazers is stellar as well. He is a solid play tonight and an excellent GPP option.
PF – Daniel Theis (3700/3500): Theis stands to benefit from all the Celtics who are going to miss this game. He is in line for 20-25 minutes tonight. At his price, it won’t take much for him to hit value and he has shown some upside this season, making him an ideal drop score candidate on FD and an MME target on both sites.
PF – Ivan Rabb (3600/3600): If both JaMychal Green and Joakim Noah are out, Rabb will find himself playing 25+ minutes tonight. He’ll be needed to deal with the size of the Wolves at both the 4/5 off the bench. He makes for an excellent FD drop score and MME target at his price.
Those are your Sixth men for today. Good luck out there today Army!
