DFS NBA Lineup Strategies - Blande's 6th Man - Draftkings and Fanduel Advice Feb 27th

Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande. I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.

We are back with a fantastic eleven-game slate today. There has been a little change to the 6th Man content. This article will focus mainly on Fanduel. The players and the discussion will pertain directly to Fanduel. This does not mean they are not viable on Draftkings as well, just that you’ll have to figure out if the prices work for Draftkings. With that out of the way, let’s take a deep dive into what this slate has to offer off the bench.

CORE PLAYS

SG – Lou Williams ($7,800): Over his last five games, Sweet Lou has gone for 45+ FPs three times. He is in fine form and is affordable on this slate. In his last meeting with the Jazz, he went for 41.2 FPs in 26 minutes. He makes for a solid all-format format tonight.

SG – Luke Kennard ($5,300): Guards against the Spurs is a thing and one I love attacking. Kennard is in fine form right now, going for 33.5 and 31.8 FPs in his last two games in tough matchups. He’s getting minutes with Ellington and Jackson struggling a little, making him a nice option off the bench tonight in hybrid lineups.

SF – Jae Crowder ($5,000): Bigs against the Clippers is another position we love attacking. While everyone looks to Favors, this is a nice spot to pivot to Crowder who is much cheaper but with a high upside. In their last meeting, Crowder went for 38.8 FPs in 29 minutes. He is playing well lately, I love the spot for him in cash and hybrid lineups.

C – Joakim Noah ($5,700): Noah has been lights out for the Grizzlies. With Jackson out and Rabb doubtful, a lot of people will flock to Jonas Valanciunas tonight. I prefer going instead to Joakim Noah. He has put up 39.3, 24.8, 22.1, 47.7, 38.4 and 35.4 FPs in his last 6 games (only twice playing over 23 minutes in that span), making him an excellent option here tonight at a cheaper price. He is a hybrid and GPP play.

GPP PLAYS

PG – Derrick Rose ($5,800): Since returning from injury, Rose has been stuck around 23 minutes off the bench. There is a worry that he is playing on an unofficial minutes cap. That said, the matchup for him his phenomenal in he can crush value at his price. He is a strictly GPP play for me given the minutes concern.

PG – Goran Dragic ($4,100): Dragic continues to be worked back slowly from injury. He played 22 minutes last game off the bench and could be in line for a slightly higher workload. The matchup against the Warriors is a good one for him and at just 4.1k, he makes for an excellent drop-score and GPP play tonight.

SF – Jabari Parker ($5,400): I love Jabari Parker tonight. He’ll be low-owned as people shy away from his high-risk high-reward status. That said, the last time he faced the Nets in January, he went off for 48.3 FPs in just 23 minutes. I like this low-owned play in GPPs.

PF – Bam Adebayo ($4,800): Adebayo draws a matchup against the Warriors. His minutes are inconsistent, however, earlier this month he went off for 32.7 FPs in 25 minutes against them. The matchup is a good one and with Cousins out, Adebayo could potentially see more minutes. He is a nice low-owned GPP play.

Those are your Sixth men for today. Good luck out there today Army!
