Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande. I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.
We are back with a fantastic eleven-game slate today. There has been a little change to the 6th Man content. This article will focus mainly on Fanduel. The players and the discussion will pertain directly to Fanduel. This does not mean they are not viable on Draftkings as well, just that you’ll have to figure out if the prices work for Draftkings. With that out of the way, let’s take a deep dive into what this slate has to offer off the bench.
CORE PLAYS
PG – Tyus Jones (4500): Jeff Teague is questionable. If he misses the game, Tyus Jones will see close to 30 minutes tonight. At just 4,500 in a matchup against the defense anemic Kings, he makes for a solid option in all formats.
SG – Lou Williams (7800): Sweet Lou is pricey, but he can also go for 50. The matchup against the Mavs is a good one for him tonight. His price takes him out of cash consideration, but his solid floor and his high ceiling make him appealing in hybrid and GPP lineups.
C – Dwight Powell (5400): Bigs against the Clippers are a thing. We saw what Millsap and Jokic did last night. Tonight Dwight Powell, who is averaging 27 MPG over his last five, gets a shot at them. Factor in the fact that Maxi Kleber is dealing with an illness (although he will play) and you have the makings for a fantastic game from Powell. He is in consideration in hybrid and GPP lineups.
GPP PLAYS
SG – Allen Crabbe (4200): Guards against the Spurs is a thing. Crabbe is getting 25-30 minutes off the bench in a fantastic matchup tonight. His price is low for the minutes and spot, making him a fantastic drop score candidate in all formats here.
PF – Cheick Diallo (5500): Diallo’s price has risen drastically, but for good reason. In his last two games, he has gone for 42.1 and 36 FPs in 26 and 18 MPG respectively. He is not going to get many minutes, but he is a high ppm guy here. That said, his floor is low, making him playable only in GPPs at that price.
PF – Ed Davis (4500): PFs against the Spurs when Rudy Gay is starting at PF is a thing. With White playing tonight, Gay will shift back to PF, making Ed Davis a solid option here. Davis is averaging right around 20 MPG recently. This is more than enough for him to hit value. However, the Nets are healthy, so there is some risk surrounding Davis here, limiting him to hybrid and GPPs only as a drop score candidate.
C – Enes Kanter (5200): Kanter has been on fire since joining in the Blazers. In his two games, he has gone for 30.8 and 29.6 FPs in 19 and 20 MPG respectively. The matchup against the Cavs without Tristan Thompson is a great one for Kanter, however, his low minute totals and high price makes him viable only in GPPs tonight.
Those are your Sixth men for today. Good luck out there today Army!
