DFS NBA Lineup Strategies - Blande's 6th Man - Draftkings and Fanduel Advice Feb 23rd

Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande. I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.

Yes! We are back from ASB and the mandated NBA DFS rest. It is going to be a bumpy ride throughout the 2nd half of the NBA season, but we are here to guide you through it. Make use of all the resources we have to offer, beginning with the Daily Gamebreak Article, and all the other rotating pieces out there. With that said, let’s take a look at the top 6th Men on this wonderful ten/eleven-game slate tonight!

NHL Season is ongoing and the DFS Coaches are on fire, helping people take down GPPs. Shoutout to jshields for a nice takedown, and give NHL a try over in #nhl-talk

CORE PLAYS

SG – Dennis Schroder (5000/4700): There’s nothing flashy about this play. Schroder has been consistent in his output this season. His floor is relatively high given his price and he doesn’t have much of a season given the guys he has to play with. That said, he has a good matchup here off the bench for the Thunder and at his price, it shouldn’t be hard to hit value. He is averaging 26.1 DKPs in his games against the Kings this season, enough for value in cash games.

PF – Marvin Bagley III (6100/6100): I love everything about Bagley here. He is coming off the bench but will play high 20 to mid-30 minutes. PFs against the Thunder is a thing (just look at what Favors did last night in just 32 mins), and Bagley is in for a fantastic outing. In 2 games this season, he is averaging 31.3 DKPs in just 24.5 MPG. Love him in all formats on both sites.

PF – Domantas Sabonis (6000/5700): As long as Turner remains sidelined, Sabonis is in play. Tonight, he gets the fantastic matchup against the Wizards, putting him squarely in play once more. His price hasn’t moved much from last night, making him an excellent option on both sites in all formats.

C – Joakim Noah (4400/4300): Jaren Jackson is out indefinitely, and Jonas Valanciunas is questionable. Should Valanciunas miss this game, you can once more go back to Joakim Noah who has been on fire recently. The matchup against the Tristan Thompson-less Cavs is fantastic and with the big bodies the Cavs have, Noah will see 25-30 mins making him an elite option at his price on both sites.

GPP PLAYS

PG – Derrick Rose (5600/5600): Towns remains in the concussion protocol and like yesterday, his absence is a boost to everyone else on this team. Derrick Rose will get more usage and some more minutes off the bench here tonight. The matchup against the bucks at guard is an exploitable one. He has a high ceiling, making him a nice GPP option at his price.

SG – Dwyane Wade (5400/4700): Justise Winslow is out, and Goran Dragic will come off the bench if he plays (and probably be limited). There are additional minutes and ball handling duties here for Wade to pick up tonight. This boost in usage and minutes, combined with a great matchup against the Pistons, makes Wade a phenomenal hybrid play tonight. He has 40+ upside here and a solid floor as well.

SF – Jabari Parker (5700/5800): This play is not for the faint of heart. Parker is a 40 or 10 kind of guy. The talent is obvious, and he really doesn’t care about matchups here. His inconsistency limits him to GPP only and probably for those MMEing only. That said, he has 40+ upside every time he steps out on the court, and at what will be less than 5% ownership tonight, he could end up winning someone a GPP.

SF – Derrick Jones Jr. (3500/3400): With no Winslow and McGruder probably getting into the starting 5, there will be extra minutes available for Derrick Jones Jr. who played 16 minutes in his return from injury. He could find himself playing around 25 minutes off the bench tonight. He makes for an excellent drop-score candidate on FD and is useful if MMEing as a low-owned punt.

Those are your Sixth men for today. Good luck out there today Army!
