DFS Madness's Draftkings Core 4 - February 23rd, 2019

Welcome to the Core 4! My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the game break/core 4. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Purpose of the Core 4: These four players are guys that I want to lock into my cash game lineups and if doing multi-entry, using the Domination Station lock them in or set high exposure percentages to them. These are players that I see as underpriced, in great matchups, in play because of injuries, increased usage, etc. I also need to mention that these plays are normally geared toward Draftkings pricing and scoring, I’m not a huge fan of NBA for Fanduel, so if you see my list has three small forwards or two centers, etc. it’s because of the multi-position eligibility on Draftkings. With that said, let’s jump right into it!

Tonight’s Core 4:

Bogdan Bogdanovic – $4,600

Bogdan just can’t seem to get a price bump on Draftkings. He’s gone for at least 27.25 in four of his last five games and should get plenty of opportunity in this one. Not only has he been in good form, but he’s in a game that features the highest total on the slate. As we know, high totals mean plenty of fantasy production. In his only matchup with the Thunder this year, Bogdanovic was able to score 26.75 Draftkings points. That would be nearly 6x at his current price tag, this is a price play for me more than anything. The Research Station is projecting him to score 28.7 Draftkings points tonight, the only thing that I can see holding Bogdan back tonight is his own coach. Go ahead and lock in Bogdan Bogdanovic (make sure you select the right Bogdanovic!).

Devin Booker – $8,300

I’ve been waiting for this matchup all week. Devin Booker put up a 60 spot on these guys earlier on in the year and stacking against the Hawks has proven to be very profitable over the past few weeks. The Hawks rank 26th in fantasy points given up to opposing shooting guards, Booker should be able to do what he pleases here. He has an elite 32% usage rate on the season and averaging around 1.2 fantasy points per minute. His price has come up a bit since his last outing, but that will keep his ownership down and is actually a good thing in my opinion. My bold call of the day is that Devin Booker goes for 55+ Draftkings points in this matchup, so naturally lock this man in.

Cheick Diallo – $3,100

The New Orleans Pelicans have already ruled Anthony Davis out for tonight’s matchup with the Lakers. With Anthony Davis off the court this season, Diallo is seeing 1.08 Draftkings points per minute. He’s coming off a season-high in minutes where he played 26 against the Pacers last time out. He’s proven that when he gets the minutes he can be a very nice point per minute option, in his last ten games he has seen over 20 minutes four times. In those four games, he has averaged 34.75 Draftkings points. The Research Station currently has him projected to 8x his price tag which is unheard of. With the Pelicans waving the white flag on the season, there should be plenty of minutes to go around for Diallo to take advantage of. Go ahead and lock in Cheick Diallo at the near minimum.

Paul George – $10,600

Paul George is just playing out of his mind right now, he’s scored over 40 REAL points in three of his last four games. People may shy away because he played an unreal 50 minutes last night, but the back to back is less daunting seeing as how it is a home and home. Along with Bogdanovic, he’s in the highest projected total on the slate and has averaged 53.3 Draftkings points against the Kings in three games this season. We should expect a bit more than that number given his price tag, but the way he is playing right now is unreal. Not only is he playing great, but he is third on the slate in average minutes played per game at 36.4. With 1.41 fantasy points per minute on the season, this could be a monster spot for PG13, go ahead and lock him in.

As always I appreciate everyone who gave the game break a read! Feel free to mix it up with me in our coaching forums as news breaks and lock approaches. If you don’t know about them, our two newest pages contain Breaking News and our exclusive Coaches’ Picks……both invaluable for late-breaking news and pivots in NBA.
