Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande. I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.
Another nice 7-game slate tonight. There has been a lot of injury news already dealt with early on this slate, opening a ton of value. The lack of top-priced studs on the slate makes it possible to fit just about everyone in tonight. On this kind of slate, avoiding the landmines becomes key. So, pay attention to coaches and devour the articles today. Including this one which will take a look at some of the top bench plays out there tonight.
The wins have been coming hard and fast the last week or so. Keep up the good work and ladder it up!

CORE PLAYS
SF – Dorian Finney-Smith (4600/3600): Finney-Smith is averaging 24.5 MPG over his last 5. IN that stretch he has hit 20+ FPs in 4 of 5, with 3 of them going for over 26 DKPs. Today he gets the enviable matchup against the Knicks. At just 3.6k on DK and with his stable floor recently and high upside, he makes for a core value play on DK. He is priced up on FD, limiting him to just GPPs.
SG – Bogdan Bogdanovic (6600/5500): Over his last 5, Bogdanovic is averaging 30.9 DKPs in 28.3 MPG. This includes 50.5, 45.5, and 4.75 DKPs games in the stretch. For some reason, DK just won’t increase his price. He is underpriced on DK for the ceiling and floor he brings, making him a core play on DK. On FD, he is priced up, limiting him to GPPs.
SF – Taurean Prince (5100/5200): Prince is averaging 28.3 MPG over his last 5 games. He hasn’t translated these minutes into top production yet, but he has 3 25+ DKPs games in the span. Prince is a talented player with high upside who has been slowly working his way back after a long injury spell. He is finally back to playing 30 minutes now and is due a ceiling type game. The matchup here is good and his pricing allows for him to be a core play tonight on both sites.
PF – Bam Adebayo (4900/4300): I like going to Adebayo here tonight. He is getting 22 MPG off the bench in his last 5 games. While this is not much, it is more than enough for Adebayo to pay off his price on both sites. In his two previous meetings against the Bulls this season, Adebayo went for 35.8 and 15.8 DKPs in 26 and 23 MPG respectively. The upside is clearly there for him given the 20-25 minutes, and the matchup is excellent. His price makes him a core play as he should have almost no trouble hitting value here.
GPP PLAYS
PG – Tim Frazier (3500/3200): Frazier filled in nicely last night when called upon by the Pelicans, putting up 32 DKPs in just 20 minutes of work. What is most interesting from a DFS standpoint is, he closed out the game for the Pelicans. This shows the level of trust the coaching staff has in him and could signal an increase in opportunities today. He is cheap on both sites and makes for an excellent GPP play here today.
SG – Dion Waiters (4200/4200): With Wade and Tyler Johnson both questionable, Dion Waiters is in line to see a significant minutes boost into the 25-30 minutes range tonight. In such a scenario, Waiters becomes a viable GPP play. He is a scorer and when he gets hot, he has the ceiling to crush value on this slate. It helps that the matchup against the Bulls is an exploitable one.
PF – Kenrich Williams (3600/3100): Kenrich Williams had an amazing game last night, putting up 30.7 FDPs on the Rockets in 29 minutes of work. Jrue Holiday had a lot of nice things to say about Williams. Given the similar situation he’ll find himself in tonight, and him being blowout-proof, he makes for an excellent FD drop-score candidate tonight. If we get word he is starting, he becomes DK GPP viable.
PF – Trey Lyles (3500/3700): On the other side of Williams is Trey Lyles. Lyles has always had upside, the issue with him has mainly been one of minutes. Tonight, he could find himself playing in garbage time if the game goes out of hand, making him GPP viable. Given the need for garbage time for him to get minutes, the play is risky, relegating him to a FD drop score consideration only.
C – Mason Plumlee (4400/3900): Plumlee makes for a nice GPP play here tonight. He is 21.8 DKPs in 17.5 MPG over his last 5. In that span, he has had two games of 30+ FPs in 22 and 25 minutes played. He clearly has the upside even in limited minutes, making him a GPP play on both sites. Add in the potential for increased minutes if this game gets out of hand, and he truly becomes an interesting GPP play for those MMEing.
Those are your Sixth men for today. Good luck out there today Army!
