My Favorite NBA Free Squares for Today – December 3rd
💥 Tristan Thompson CLE C $6,700
Earlier this Season during a pre conference Tristan Thompson said the path to the Eastern Conference Title still went through Cleveland despite the departure of LeBron James this off-season. While that statement couldn’t be further from the truth, Thompson has played fantastic in 5 of his last 6 games. His lone dud game was against the Thunder where he only scored 9.4 fantasy points in 34 minutes. The other 5 games he has scored over 35.4 fantasy points in each and has played more than 35 minutes in 4 of them. Tonight he gets the best matchup on the slate for any Center against the Nets who allow 15% more fantasy points to centers than the league average.
💥 Emmanuel Mudiay and Kevin Knox NYK PG/PF $5,000/$4,400
Trey Burke is out tonight for the Knicks so Mudiay and Knox should do most of the heavy lifting for the 2nd unit. Burke, Mudiay and Trier have all been competing for the same minutes this season and with Burke out tonight that should lock in Mudiay for nearly 30 minutes in this one. He played 35 minutes Saturday vs the Bucks and scored 42.1 fantasy points. Knox has a 26.7% usage rate so far this season when Burke is off the floor. He’s coming off a monster game on Saturday as well vs the Bucks. He played 36 minutes and scored 40.8 fantasy points in that game. These two should be popular tonight for good reason as they’ll both see some extra minutes and extra usage without Burke.

💥 Markief Morris WAS PF $6,600
Dwight Howard is out again tonight so that is going to open up more opportunities for Markief Morris. He’s been on a tear recently over his last 5 games he has averaged 32.5 fantasy points and 30 minutes per game. Tonight he gets a matchup vs the Knicks who allow 13% more fantasy points to power forwards than the league average. Morris is coming off a 44.4 fantasy point game vs the Nets on Saturday and should be able to get up to 35-40 fantasy points in this matchup as well.
💥 Steph Curry GSW PG $9,700
Curry returned to action on Saturday night vs the Pistons after missing the previous 11 games. I was skeptical that he may not be a full go in his 1st game back but he ended up playing 36 minutes in that game and scoring 36.5 fantasy points. He had a 36% usage rate in that game and with Draymond Green, Alfonso McKinie and Damian Jones off the court his usage rate is sky high at 39.6%. Tonight he has a great matchup vs the Hawks who allow 14% more fantasy points to Point Guards than the league average. The Hawks have a 109 overall defensive efficiency rating and play a very fast 108 pace. Remember what I always say, Fast Pace + Bad Defense = Fantasy Points. I’m going to load up on Curry tonight and take advantage of his sub $10k price tag while I still can.
