So what is a Free Square exactly? In NBA DFS there will be situations that come up that will lead to bench players getting more minutes. Some may even enter the starting lineup. My Favorite NBA Free Squares for Today – December 1st
💥 Wendall Carter Jr CHI PF $5,600
Carter is simply too cheap for the amount of talent he has right now. He had been on a bit of a cold streak only averaging 26.3 fantasy points over his last 5 games. Don’t forget though, we were paying mid $7,000 prices on him earlier this season as he was dropping 35 and 40 per night. He’s coming off a big game Friday night against the Pistons where he played 29 minutes scored 28 points grabbed 7 rebounds and had 3 blocked shots. Against a Rockets team tonight with a 110 defensive efficiency rating I like his chances to have another solid game. At just $5,600 on Fanduel he’s one of my favorite mid tier priced players on the slate.
💥 Bogdan Bogdanovic SAC SG $5,700
Plenty of people will roster the “other” Bogdanovic for the Pacers tonight with Oladipo out again. I don’t disagree with that play but I’ll take the Bogdanovic in the same game on the other side for 1/2 the ownership. He’s been on a tear recently averaging 27.6 fantasy points and 30 minutes per game over his last 5. Last game vs the Clippers he played 35 minutes and racked up 38.8 fantasy points. He scored 26 real points and filled up the stat sheet with 4 rebounds and 6 assists. I am expecting another solid performance tonight vs a Pacers team without their best wing defender in Oladipo.

💥 Marcus Smart BOS SG $4,600
Jaylen Brown is out so that shoots Marcus Smart up the value charts tonight. He gets a rough matchup with the T’Wolves who are very good against Shooting Guards allowing -13% fewer fantasy points to the position than the league average. That wont scare me off Smart though as his minutes are very secure with Brown out. Last night he played 29 minutes and scored 38.1 fantasy points (8.5x value) vs Cleveland. The night before that he played 39 minutes and scored 22.9 (5.7x value) vs the Pelicans. He has reached 5.7x value or higher in 5 of his last 6 games and with extra time on the court tonight I am expecting another 5x performance out of him.
💥 Jarrett Allen BKN $6,000
The Wizards are an awful Defensive team with a Defensive Efficiency rating of 111. Against centers specifically they allow 4% more fantasy points than the league average. Dwight Howard is out again tonight so the Wizards will likely go small and use Markief Morris as their “big man”. Allen has cooled off a little over his last 5 games only averaging 26.1 fantasy points per game. However he’s still been playing over 30 minutes per game. He just put up a monster 39.9 score against the Grizzlies on Friday night in Overtime and I expect more of the same tonight vs the Wizards.

💥 Cory Joseph IND PG $4,400
With Oladipo out yet again tonight we get a chance to save some money by using Cory Joseph. He is only priced at $4,400 on Fanduel and over his last 5 games he has averaged 24.7 fantasy points and 28 minutes played. At today’s salary that’s good enough for 5.6x value over his past 5 games. His matchup tonight vs the Kings is nice as they have a Defensive Efficiency rating near the bottom of the league at 109. They also play at one of the leagues fastest paces at 107 and if you remember what I said yesterday it applies here today as well. Bad Defense + Fast Pace = Fantasy Points! Load up on Joseph tonight for some solid value.
