Welcome to the DFS Army NBA 1st look article. In this article, I’ll try to give you a quick glance at the NBA slate each morning. I’ll go over some of the Vegas info and some of the Injury situations we’re monitoring throughout the league.

💥 Who’s Out? Who’s Questionable? What it means…
LAL LeBron James and Rajon Rondo OUT – JaVale McGee – Q
With LeBron and Rondo out we’re going to be able to comfortably continue to roster Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart. This game has the highest total on the slate by far and the matchup vs the Kings tonight is as good as it gets. The Kings play at a 107 pace and have a 109 Defensive Efficiency rating this season.
TOR Kyle Lowry OUT
Fred VanVleet will start again at Point Guard. Kawi Leonard has a sky high usage rate with Lowry off the floor. Pascal Siakam and Serge Ibaka also see an uptick in usage.
MIN Jeff Teague and Derrick Rose – both Doubtful
With Teague and Rose off the Floor the Big KAT, Karly Anthony Towns leads the team with a 35.7% usage rate and he averages 1.39 fp/min. Andrew Wiggins is 2nd on the team with a 31.1% usage rate and 1.09 fp/min. Tyus Jones would likely start at Point Guard and be locked into big minutes. He averages 0.93 fp/min but the matchup vs the Heat is not ideal as they allow 5% fewer fantasy points to point guards than the league average.
PHI Joel Embid – Q
With Embid off the floor Jimmy Butler leads the team with a 33.5% usage rate and averages 1.40 fp/min. JJ Reddick is 2nd with a 29.3% usage rate and 1.03 fp/min. Ben Simmons is 3rd with a 21.9% usage rate and 1.31 fp/min. Mike Muscala would like start and Amir Johnson would see increased minutes as well if Embid is out.
DeAndre Jordan and Wes Matthews – Q
Harrison Barnes leads the team with a 34.6% usage rate and 1.24 fp/min with Jordan and Matthews off the floor this season. JJ Barea is 2nd with a 31.9% usage rate and 1.38 fp/min. Luka Doncic is 3rd with a 24.3% usage rate and 0.94 fp/min. Dwight Powell, Maxi Kleber and Salah Mejri will all see increased minutes if Jordan is out
MIA James Johnson, Wayne Ellignton, Derrick Jones – Q
The Flu bug is going around this Heat team right now and all 3 of these guys are questionable for tonight. Dwyane Wade leads the team with a 27.2% usage with these three guys out. Josh Richardson has a 24% usage a averages 0.97 fp/min. Hassan Whiteside 21.6% usage and 1.54 fp/min. Justise Winslow has been runnig the point for Miami recently and has come through with some big games recently. He has scored over 46.7 in 2 of his last 3 games and gets a solid matchup vs the T’Wolves who have a 108 defensive efficiency rating this season.
