This article focuses primarily on 3-Man snake draft strategy. Reason being is that you can easily apply this information to H2H as well as widen up to 4-Man contests, which is the average size of the daily GPPs. I’m going to break down what I saw in 20-30 drafts today and how we can exploit our opponents using our tools over on DFS Army.

Sorry for the 4-week break. Our VIPs got the notes but traveling and writing can be a bit too time-consuming.

Quick Trends (75 game sample)

  • Chalk: Adams, Barkley, Brown, CMac, Elliot, Gurley, Hopkins, Kamara, and Mahomes. Nothing surprising here. High totals + elite players.
  • A lot of one-offs this week showing people are starting to take stabs at different player pools as the season winds down.

  • CMac being on a tear and Gurley facing a stout Bears defense has made for a switch this week. You can see that after Cmac, people didn’t have a consensus as to where to go.
  • Even more interesting, after the top 4 RBs picks were all over the map. Different than most weeks, this Draft slate has a very flat ADP and the herd doesn’t have leaning to one set of player pool.

Draft Projections & Rankings

The default draft rankings by position in Draft for their top positions. While most of these would be solid plays, they are vastly different than our projections and grades we developed in-house at DFS Army where to take into account many different metrics that these do not. Combining our brand new Starting Lineups Page, Domination Station, Articles, and research station, you can quickly see where some players in absolute smash spots should be drafted higher than what’s on this list.

Strategy

  • There are some solid value plays this week with ADP being flat. You can easily let elite players like Michael Thomas fall back one round and still have a solid shot at getting him on your team.
  • This is a good week to make a stand and limit your player pool. As people start to reach for one-offs, you can solidify your picks into a strong but limited player pool, giving you a lot of upside to really win every Draft this week.
