DFS NBA Lineup Strategies - Blande's 6th Man - Draftkings and Fanduel Advice Dec 26th

Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande . I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.

I just got a shiny new channel, so join me in #blande-nba-wnba!

We’ve got a massive 10-game slate on our hands tonight. There are some good players in enviable positions and in order to fit a lot of them into our lineups, we’ll need some nice value pieces. There are also some excellent players coming off the bench today who should excel. Picking the right 6th men on this slate is a tough proposition given the variety we have, but let’s take a look at the top.

Shoutout to Dabbingpuggle who had himself a nice Christmas Day!

CORE PLAYS

Spencer Dinwiddie (6900/7000): Dinwiddie finds himself in an excellent spot tonight against the Hornets. No one is scared of Kemba defense and Dinwiddie will get that matchup even when Russell is on the court. Between Dinwiddie and Russell, Dinwiddie gets the nod tonight. He makes for an excellent core play in all formats today. He is a little expensive, but it’s the price you pay for his floor.

Montrezl Harrell (6600/5700): Harrell is back in his good form, minus the stinker he put up against the Warriors. He is still extremely cheap on DK at $5700, and playable on FD too. Harrell gets a good matchup against the Kings, one where he put up 35 DKPs in 26 minutes last time they played. He makes for a nice all format play on DK, and a GPP play on FD.

Domantas Sabonis (6600/6200): Sabonis has been rolling on this season, producing excellent performances off the bench. Last time he faced these Hawks, he put up 41.5 DKPs in 28 minutes. He gets another shot at them tonight and should see good minutes if they up to play big. I love the outlook for him on both sites in all formats.

J.J. Barea (4900/4800): Barea gets the matchup against the Pelicans tonight and could possibly be without Dennis Smith Jr. and Wes Matthews. In this scenario, he gets a huge bump in usage and fppm, making him an excellent value play. In the first matchup against the Pelicans, he put up 25.5 DKPs in just 18 minutes. He should exceed that if both DSJ and Matthews are out tonight.

Shoutout to Girth too for this nice win!

GPP PLAYS

Lou Williams (5400/6600): FD needs to get their act together with Lou Williams. He is massively underpriced there. The more dynamic DK has him priced up, but FD continues to lag behind, making Williams who has had two excellent games (out of 3) since returning from injury, an excellent all format option on FD. He remains a GPP only play on DK at that price. It’s hard not to just plug Lou into every lineup on FD at that price.

Bogdan Bogdanovic (6100/5500): Bogdan has been playing very well off the bench recently, finding his stride. He has a fantastic matchup here versus the Clippers in the late-night hammer and makes for an excellent play in GPPs on both sites. Last time these two teams faced off, he went off for 41 DKPs. I like him here again in the hammer game.

Monte Morris (5700/4600): Monte Morris is playing over 28 MPG in his last 5 off the bench. The minutes are there for Morris with all the injuries the Nuggets are dealing with, and he is turning them into fantasy points, having scored over 30 FPs in 3 of his last 5. Today Morris gets a shot at the Spurs defense which is not what it used to be. With the minutes and usage, he is getting, he makes for a nice value play here in GPPs on DK. Morris is a DK play while Lou is the FD play.

Jared Dudley (3700/3400): Dudley is extremely cheap on both sites for what he has been doing recently. With Allen Crabbe sidelined, Dudley is getting well over 20 MPG, and he is producing with them. He has a low floor making him strictly GPP. He is a potential drop-score candidate on FD here tonight. On DK, he is only usable if playing multiple lineups.

That’s it for today! Good luck out there Army!
