Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande . I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.
I just got a shiny new channel, so join me in #blande-nba-wnba!
We have an eight-game slate tonight. The slate is full of studs, but it is missing good value plays to fit in all these studs. As of now, it is shaping up to be one of those days when a more balanced build might be the way to go. That said, even the balanced builds rely on a value play or two, so let’s dive into the 6th Men!
Shoutout to Edkool for this nice takedown on the early slate yesterday

Winners are being produced all over, including over in #nhl-talk. Make sure to check it out!

CORE PLAYS
Bogdan Bogdanovic (6100/5800): Bogdanovic has been doing the heavy lifting for the Kings off the bench. Today he gets a rematch against the Wolves, a team he just dropped 35 FDPs on. He is priced at value on both sites, and his consistency and high floor make him a solid cash game play. He has the upside to go for 40+, making him a solid GPP play as well.
Dennis Schroder (5900/5600): I’m never excited about rostering Schroder, but at his price, consistency, and given the matchup, it is hard to pass on him in cash games. He offers consistency and the ability to meet value for cash lineups. His upside is limited though, so he is only cash viable.
Montrezl Harrell (6200/5700): I’m finding it extremely difficult to pass on Harrel today in Hybrid/GPP lines. In his two games against the Blazers this season, Harrell has scored 40.2 and 39.5 FDPs. Harrell has been in a mega slump recently and that has rightly depressed his ownership. Now is a chance to jump on him as he gets back in form, starting with a matchup he likes. He’s viable in Hybrid and GPP lineups on both sites, and you can even consider him in cash games.
Evan Turner (4700/4300): It took some adjusting, but Evan Turner has settled in nicely to his role on the bench with Harkless now firmly back in the starting lineup. In his last two games, Turner has performed well in the minutes he has received. He used his minutes well in the two meetings this year against the Clippers, putting up 24.7 and 27 FDPs. That kind of production is all he needs to meet value at his price today. He makes for a nice value play on all sites.
Wins are also being produced on Yahoo Fantasy Sports! Shoutout to archiea for the 15k win!

GPP PLAYS
Langston Galloway (4100/3400): Langston Galloway is your ultimate GPP play tonight. This is a guy who can give you 30+ or 8 tonight in this matchup against the bucks. His minutes are not secured, but he should see 20-25 minutes tonight. Galloway is cheap on DK and carries 10-12x upside, but he is preferred on FD as a drop-score candidate.
Bobby Portis (5300/5000): Portis laid a dud last time out and angered a lot of people in the process. With the potential for reduced ownership, and in a good situation with Parker likely out, Portis has an opportunity here to exceed value. This makes him an interesting GPP play on both sites.
T.J. McConnell (4300/3800): T.J McConnell is consistently scoring in the low 20s, which provides a nice floor for us at his price. He makes for a very good value play in GPPs, with the necessary upside if he somehow gets to see more playing time due to a blowout. This is not a play I’m excited about, but if you need the salary relief, he is not a bad option to go to.
Those are your Sixth Men for today. I’ll have notes covering the entire slate later on. Good luck out there tonight! And join me in my new channel #blande-nba-wnba.
