Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande . I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.
I just got a shiny new channel, so join me in #blande-nba–wnba!
It’s hard to describe the kind of slate we have tonight. Eleven games on our hands, and a ton of early breaking news to take into consideration. All the news we have received so far has opened up a lot of value, turning this slate into something crazy and weird. As a result, my advice to everyone is to treat this slate as though it is a Sunday slate. Play extremely light, and focus on SE GPPs or MMEing rather than Cash games. With that said, let’s take a look at some of the top bench plays tonight.
Let’s see if we can get another domination like this tonight!

CORE PLAYS
Tomas Satoransky (4300/4200): Wall is out, Rivers likely gets the start, but Satoransky will come in off the bench and get around 30 minutes. He’s an excellent value play on both sites, in all formats. With all the other value on this slate, he won’t be as highly owned as he was originally going to be. Love him as a pivot off Rozier.
Marcus Morris (5500/5500): Morris will be called upon to help a very shorthanded Celtics today. With AD questionable, this game should be close all the way. The matchup is excellent for Morris, making him an excellent value play off the bench. While he is a much better play on FD, he is still a value on DK.
Montrezl Harrell (6700/6700): Harrell has been through a rough spell, but nothing like a matchup against the Suns to get him out of this dry spell. Everything is aligned perfectly for Harrell to excel tonight. Excellent matchup, good minutes, and the potential to be low-owned tonight as people go elsewhere trying to fit in studs. Love this play in all formats on both sites.
Markieff Morris (6000/5200): As long as Howard remains out, Markieff Morris will continue to get 30+ minutes and remain an excellent DFS option. He is too cheap on DK for a matchup against a Pacers team known for giving up points to bigs. Love everything about this play on DK today in all formats. I don’t mind it on FD also.
GPP PLAYS
Langston Galloway (3500/3300): Galloway will be given carte blanche to shoot as much as his heart desires tonight. This game has all the makings of a blowout, but Galloway is blowout proof. With the usage, minutes, and shots he’ll get today, he has an opportunity of crushing value. 10x is not out of the question tonight. Love this kind of play in GPPs.
Marcus Smart (4800/4300): Smart will get over 30 minutes here tonight. The Celtics are shorthanded, and they’ll need their guys to play a lot of minutes here. Smart fills up the stat sheets when he gets the opportunities. Look for him to do the same here. He is a Hybrid/GPP play and I can even see using him in cash for salary relief.
JaMychal Green (5300/4400): Green finally had a bad game after putting up two excellent games. Today he gets a matchup against the shorthanded Nuggets. I like the outlook here for Green especially if the Nuggets can find a way to keep it close. Green should be able to dominate down low for the Grizzlies and take advantage of the Gasol/Jokic matchup in terms of rebounding. GPP play on both sites.
T.J. McConnell (3900/3300): With Griffin out, and the possibility of this game going crazy early, McConnell could be in line for an increased role off the bench. This is a strictly GPP play as it depends to an extent on the game being a blowout. However, it’s the kind of low-owned GPP play we like to look at.
Those are your Sixth Men for today. I’ll have notes covering the entire slate later on. Good luck out there tonight! And join me in my new channel #blande-nba–wnba
