NBA Free Squares November 6th

Welcome to the DFS Army NBA Free Squares article where I will try to break down my favorite NBA Free Squares and Fanduel and Draftkings for Today’s NBA Slate.

So what is a Free Square exactly? In NBA DFS there will be situations that come up that will lead to bench players getting more minutes. Some may even enter the starting lineup. These players will often be priced as backups (their normal role). The increase in their minutes and role will give us someone we can plug into our lineups and expect them to reach or exceed value. The low cost of these players will allow us to spend up across the rest of our lineups. Wich gives us the ability to lock in some high dollar studs.

Free Square Results for yesterday – November 3rd

Russell Westbrook – 35.90 fp – 2.99x value – 25 minutes, injured in 3rd quarter
Anthony Davis – 29.10 fp – 2.46x value
Bam Adebayo – 34.10 fp – 8.97x value
Kyle Anderson – 28.30 fp – 6.28x value

Westbrook and The Brow both let us down last night. Both were ELITE plays in a game with a 238 total so regardless of the results I would still go there 100% of the time. Westbrook was injured in the 3rd quarter, but he was well on his way to a 60+ fantasy game. The Brow looked off all night, maybe still injured a little, not really sure but he looked bad. Top values yesterday were Langston Galloway 11.94x value, George Hill 10.40x value and Enes Kanter 9.14x value. Top overall fantasy point scorers yesterday were Enes Kanter 61.30, Andre Drummond 60.30 and Zach Lavine 58.80.

My Favorite NBA Free Squares for Today – November 6th

We have a small 4 game Tuesday tonight. The highest game total of the night is 230.5 in Charlotte where the Hornets take on the Hawks. The Bucks and Blazers at 228 is a close second. The elephant in the room is what to do with GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO tonight who is priced at $12,800 on Fanduel. He’s got the highest raw fantasy point projection on the slate. However he isn’t the absolute LOCK you think he might be. That price is tough to deal with tonight on a small slate and I think there are a lot of other real good plays that we can plug in this evening.

💥 DeAndre Brembry – ATL – SF – $4,900

He should enter the starting lineup tonight with the absense of Taurean Prince. This game has the highest total on the slate at 230.5 and neither team is great defensively. The Hornets give up 7% more fantasy points to the SF position than the rest of the NBA. Brembry has averaged around 0.94 fantasy points per minute this year off the bench for the Hawks. If we think he’s going to get near 30 minutes we can safely expect him to pay off his salary tonight in this matchup.

💥 Kemba Walker – CHA – PG – $9,200

I don’t normally suggest high priced players in this article but I’m going to make an exception here tonight. Kemba Walker is in an ELITE spot tonight vs the Hawks who play at the fastest pace in the NBA. “Kemba at home” is one of my favorite things to target in NBA DFS. He’s been historically better at home in his career and he’s coming off a few sub par games. The Hawks give up 19% more fantasy points to the PG position than the rest of the NBA. Hawks rookie point guard Trae Young is not the type of player that is going to slow Kemba down tonight.

💥 DeAndre Ayton – PHO – C – $8,500

The Nets rank 20th in the league in Defensive Efficiency vs Centers. They have given up 13% more fantasy points to Centers than the rest of the NBA. So far this season the Nets have allowed 171 rebounds to opposing center and have allowed some MONSTER to games centers recently. On the year Ayton has averaged 1.16 fantasy points per minute and has played over 30 minute in every game except one. He’s coming off back to back solid games against he Grizzlies and the Raptors where he scored 37.60 and 46.60 fantasy points. He’s the best Center on the board tonight in my opinion so I’ll be heavily invested.

💥 Kevin Huerter – ATL – SG – $3,600

This is more of a GPP Punt play than a “free square” play tonight. He’s not “safe” by any measure but his near min price salary may allow you to fit Giannis in your lineup if you chose to do so. He played 29 minutes last game vs the Heat. In that game he took 9 shots, hitting 5 of them and he scored 19.70 fantasy points. Like I said, its not safe, there isn’t much upside but he’s a decent punt play tonight that shouldn’t kill you. He should play around 25 minutes again tonight with the absense of Prince.
