Welcome to the DFS Army NBA Free Squares article where I will try to break down my favorite NBA Free Squares and Fanduel and Draftkings for Today’s NBA Slate.
So what is a Free Square exactly? In NBA DFS there will be situations that come up that will lead to bench players getting more minutes. Some may even enter the starting lineup. These players will often be priced as backups (their normal role). The increase in their minutes and role will give us someone we can plug into our lineups and expect them to reach or exceed value. The low cost of these players will allow us to spend up across the rest of our lineups. Wich gives us the ability to lock in some high dollar studs.

Free Square Results for yesterday – October 31st 🎃
Royce O’Neale – 4.20 fp – 1.20x value
TJ Warren – 13.80 fp – 2.55x value

O’Neale and Warren let us down big time last night. I’ll give Derrick Rose a pass because he got injured early in the game. Rubio and Jones paid off big to help salvage the day. The Top overall value plays on the day were Knicks Center Mitchell Robinson 9.88x value with 41.50 fantasy points. Mavericks SF Dorian Finney-Smith 9.83x value and scored 35.40 fantasy points. And Jerami Grant 8.32x value with 40.80 fantasy points. The top fantas point scorers were Chris Paul with 66.90, Victor Oladipo with 58.30 and Russell Westbrook with 55.60.
My Favorite NBA Free Squares for Today – November 3rd
We have a 7 game Saturday main slate and we have 4 smaller slates we can attack tonight as well.
💥 Jrue Holiday – NOP – SG – $8,500
Elfrid Payton has already been ruled out today so Jrue Holiday should be the starting point guard tonight vs the Spurs. At first glance the matchup vs the Spurs may scare people away because they have been a great defensive team historically. That was with Kawi Leonard and Dejounte Murray however and neither of them will be on the floor tonight. With Elf Payont out this year Jrue Holiday has seen a usage increase around 5%. If Anthony Davis were to be out also tonight, Jrue Holiday will vault into the ELITE PLAY category.
💥 Evan Turner – POR – SF – $5,000
Turner has been great this season off the bench for the Blazers. Running the second unit he’s really played well early the season. He plays around 25-30 minutes per game and he has averaged right around 25 fantasy points per game. The matchup vs the Lakers is a prime spot for him to showcase is all around game. The Lakers play fast and are very turnover prone so there will be opportunities for steals and blocks. He’ll be an under the radar play today because he’s not a starter and most people avoid bench players in DFS.

💥 Ricky Rubio – UTA – PG – $6,200
I suggested Rubio last night with Donovan Mitchell and Alec Burks out. Rubio delivered with 39.90 fantasy points and returned 6.45x value for us last night. He gets the same situation this evening against the Denver Nuggets. The second night of a back to back in Denver is a bit worrisome but I’m not going to let it scare me away from Rubio too much tonight. His price hasn’t changed and the matchup is prime tonight.
💥 E’Twaun Moore – NOP – SF – $4,800
Not a lot of upside here with this pick but his production has been solid all year. He’s playing over 30 minutes per game so far this season and scoring right around 24 fantasy points per game. He’ll get a much bigger boost if Anthony Davis were to be out. Even if Davis plays we can safely expect 30 minutes and 20+ fantasy points from him tonight.
