Welcome to the DFS Army NBA Free Squares article where I will try to break down my favorite NBA Free Squares and Fanduel and Draftkings for Today’s NBA Slate.
So what is a Free Square exactly? In NBA DFS there will be situations that come up that will lead to bench players getting more minutes. Some may even enter the starting lineup. The low cost of these players will allow us to spend up across the rest of our lineups. Wich gives us the ability to lock in some high dollar studs.

My Favorite NBA Free Squares for Today – November 28th
💥 Larry Nance CLE PF $6,000
With David Nwaba already being ruled out tonight we’re expecting to see Larry Nance enter the starting lineup again for the Cavaliers. Last game without Nwaba when Nance got the start he played 38 minutes and scored 39.1 fantasy points against the T’Wolves. He’s been over 1 fantasy point per minute this season even with limited minutes so he’s someone we really have to consider when he gets any extra run. The Cavs are pretty awful so this game could turn into a blowout but that doesn’t really scare me away from Nance here tonight. His $6,000 price tag is up a little from a few days ago but I’m going right back to the well here tonight.
💥 Otto Porter WAS SF $6,600
Dwight Howard is out tonight for the Wizards as he’s dealing with some “personal matters”. Porte has played over 30 minutes in 4 straight games and he’s scored 33.2, 48.4, 34.4 and 39.8 fantasy points in those games. Just 4 days ago he played this same Pelicans team and dropped the 48.4 score so I think it would be wise to attack that matchup again tonight. Despite his recent hot streak Porte is only priced at $6,600 on Fanduel. The Pelicans allow 8% more fantasy points to shooting guards than the rest of the league and this game has the highest total on the slate at 241. Everything lines up for another solid outing from Porte tonight.

💥 Allonzo Trier NYK SG $3,700
Fresh off his 43.5 fantasy point explosion last night vs the Detroit Pistons Allonzo Tried gets a solid matchup tonight with the 76ers. The Sixers allow 3% more fantasy points to shooting guards than the league average and are below average defensively overall with a 106 defensive efficiency rating. Trier has been on a hot streak recently as he’s gone over 40 fantasy points in 2 of his last 3 games. He should play between 25-30 minutes and should easily be able to pay off his near min price salary of just $3,700 tonight.
💥 Markief Morris WAS PF $6,500
Another Wizard who has been benefiting from Dwight Howards “personal issues” is Markief Morris. In his last 3 games he has scored 40.5, 34.8 and 32.5 fantasy points. On Monday against the Rockets he played nearly 41 minutes and scored 22 points grabbed 10 rebounds and picked up 2 steals. Tonight vs the Pelicans he should have plenty of opportunities as this game has the highest total on the slate at 241. Without Howard clogging up the middle Morris should have plenty of room to work.

💥 Marvin Williams CHA PF $5,300
The Hornets get an elite matchup tonight vs the Atlanta Hawks who have a 109 defensive efficiency rating and play at a 108 pace. The Hawks are awful against power forwards allowing 17% more fantasy points to them than the league average. Marvin Williams has been hot recently in his last 5 games he is averaging 30 minute and 24.8 fantasy points. In his last 2 games he has played over 35 minutes in both games and scored 26.6 and 37.1 fantasy points. Look for him to continue his hot streak tonight vs this awful Hawks team.
💥 Stack it up
The Pelicans and Wizards game has a 241 total tonight. This is easily the best spot for DFS goodness on this slate. My main targets in this game will be Anthony Davis, Jru Holiday, John Wall, Bradley Beal, Markief Morris, Otto Porter, Nikola Mirotic and Julius Randle. Obviously we can’t fit all those guys into a single lineup. However, I’ll have heavy exposure to them all across my tournament teams. The other game I want to get a lot of pieces to is the Hawks and Hornets game with a 231.5 total. Kemba Walker and Trae Young sets up as a great ping pong matchup tonight. Others I love in this game are Jeremy Lamb, Marvin Williams, Taurean Prince and Kent Bazemore. I’m going to be loading up as much as I can on these two games tonight.
