So what is a Free Square exactly? In NBA DFS there will be situations that come up that will lead to bench players getting more minutes. Some may even enter the starting lineup. The increase in their minutes and role will give us someone we can plug into our lineups and expect them to reach or exceed value. The low cost of these players will allow us to spend up across the rest of our lineups. Wich gives us the ability to lock in some high dollar studs.

My Favorite NBA Free Squares for Today – November 26th
Welcome back everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving Weekend. Let’s get back to the Daily Grind of NBA DFS tonight and dig into to some of my favorite plays on the slate.
💥 Larry Nance CLE PF $5,300
David Nwaba is out for the Cavs tonight and while he’s not a high usage player his absense should open up a lot more minute for Larry Nance tonight. Nace has scored 24.1, 21.1 and 27.3 fantasy points in his last 3 games in only 18, 18 and 17 minutes. There was a 3 game stretch earlier this month between 11/10 and 11/14 where he played 26, 34 and 30 minutes. In those games he scored 39.7, 27.9 and 34.3 fantasy points. The T’Wolves allow 14% more fantasy points to power forwards than the rest of the league. I’m expecting between 24-28 minutes tonight and so far this season he’s been well over 1.0 fp per minute so load him up as a solid value option tonight.
💥 Marcus Smart BOS SG $4,000
Jalen Brown is out tonight for the Celtics so Marcus Smart should pick up some extra run in his absense. Smart and the Celtics have a matchup against the Pelicans tonight who allow 13% more fantasy points to Shooting Guards than the league average. The Pelicans are one of the worst Defenisve Teams in the NBA with a 110 Defensive Efficiency rating. Smart is not a player that is going to score a lot of real points but he’ll rack up fantasy points quickly in an uptempo game like this tonight. In his last 2 games he has played 25 and 23 minutes and he’s scored 24.4 and 26.7 fantasy points. He’s only $4,000 tonight on Fanduel and the absense of Jalen Brown vaults him into the elite value play category tonight.
I have to mention Terry Rozier here as well given he’s only $3,800 tonight. He may not be benfit as much as Marcus Smart with absence of Jalen Brown. However, this matchup is simply too elite to ignore for Point Guards. Rozier should play his normal 20-24 minutes tonight but in this matchup at this price he’s got 10x upside even in limited minutes off the bench.

💥 James Harden HOU SG $11,700
As of now 3:30pm est Chris Paul and Gerald Green are still listed as questionable tonight. James Harden has an elite matchup tonight against the Washington Wizards who allow 13% more fantasy points to shooting guards than the league average. Even if Chris Paul and Gerald Green both play Harden is a great play tonight. If Paul and Green are out however, Harden becomes the clear cut top play on the slate as he has a ridiculous 45% usage rate with those 2 players off the floor. In the few situations this season with Pau and Green out Harden has averaged nearly 65 fantasy points per 36 minutes.
Eric Gordon would likely get a boost as will if Chris Paul sits. He will probably find himself in the starting lineup alongside James Harden in the backcourt. He’s viable for sure in this matchup tonight with extra minutes and usage to go around without Chris Paul.
💥 Indiana Pacers
We already know Victor Oladipo is out tonight. What we don’t know is whether or not Domantas Sabonis or Miles Turner will be out with him. They are both listed as questionable at the moment however, if one of these big men plays and the other sits, the one that plays is going to see the most significant boost. Right now we don’t know so I’ll just leave it at that. With Oladipo out we should see the Guards handle the ball a lot more than normal, so Darren Collison and Cory Joseph become viable for us. The Jazz allow 9% more fantasy points to point guards than the league average so this is a nice matchup for them both. Also Bojan Bogdanovic gets a small 3% usage boost with Oladipo out so he should be considered as well.

💥 Kyrie Irving BOS PG $9,000
Point Guards vs thePelicans has been a great spot to target all season long and I’m not going to stop today. The Celtics face the Pelicans tonight without Jalen Brown but that’s not the primary reason I love this spot for Kyrie tonight. This season the Pelicans have allowed 13% more fantasy points to point guards than the league average. They play at a break neck 107 pace and have an overall Defensive Efficiency Rating of 110. Kyrie Irving comes into this matchup hot over his last 5 games he’s averaging 51.4 fantasy points on 23 shots per game. Look for him to drop another 50 burger tonight in Nola.
