Flynnie's Forecheck - NHL DFS Advice for FanDuel and DraftKings

Flynnie’s Forecheck for 11/2/2018

What’s up guys? I’ve been keeping most of my analysis for our VIP’s lately but I haven’t forgotten about the masses. For this quick two-game late night slate I’m going to try a different approach instead of breaking down the individual positions, I’m going game-by-game. Most nights I don’t like this style but I’m mixing it up tonight.

Colorado -135 @ Vancouver

This game looks like a blowout on paper. Colorado is bringing the best line in the NHL into Vancouver to face a Canucks team that is in the bottom half of the league in virtually every statistical category. Howevahh!! Vancouver is a different team with rookie phenom Elias Pettersson back in the lineup.  I believe the Avs win this game but Vancouver is tough at home and really slow the game down.

For the Avalanche my favorite plays are the usual suspects MacRanteSkog (Yes, all three guys are one person now), Barrie and Ian Cole to get off chalk a bit, Kerfoot and Wilson are in play too. Colorado’s top line has been leaky of late, leaving the door open for some low-owned goals from the Canucks. For Vancouver my favorite plays are Boeser, Pettersson, Horvat, Virtanen, Hutton, Poulliot, Biega, Gudbranson. Those defensemen are criminally cheap for their production and should go overlooked. Both goalies are in play, I lean more towards Grubauer, but I’m looking to the other game for my goalie bc I think this game will be more high scoring.

$50k wasn’t even our biggest win of the MLB season

Carolina-115 @ Arizona

I hope everyone overlooks the Arizona Coyotes! As one of our members PhillyBoy would say: “IT’S RAANTA DAY!!!!” The fact that he is only $7700 on FD is amazing to me, no one gives this guy credit for the caliber of player he really is and I’m fine with that. I’ll keep making money off him and telling our DFS Army members to do the same. This game has the potential for a lot of fireworks and I believe most will come from the Coyotes side. Both teams are top 5 in shots per game and top 3 in shots allowed per game – CAR is #1 in both categories.

If you are stacking the Hurricanes use Sebastian Aho, he has points in every game this season and if CAR is going to score Aho will be a part of it – his linemates are also in play Ferland and Teravainen. Arizona is tough defensively, but if you think they are vulnerable tonight, stack up Foegele, Staal, Williams. I generally like using #2 lines on the road. With all Foegele’s talent he always has low ownership. Hamilton, Slavin and Faulk are all off the charts in my favorite BSSOG category.

Since I said I like the Coyotes and Raanta I should tell you who to target for the home team. Carolina 2 (Foegele’s line) is very leaky so I believe ARI will target them with their top line of Panik, Galchenyuk and Keller. This unit has dropped 4 biscuits in the basket over the last 4 games and I expect more to go passed Scott Darling tonight. I like the ARI 2 a bit too, Stepan, Perlini and Fischer, but not as much as the top unit. On defense I would use only OEL or Goligoski. Scott Darling is the only goalie on this slate that I have no interest in.

Remember guys, always confirm the starting goalies after morning skate. I generally have this article out in the morning. If you guys have any questions reach out to me on Twitter at @rflynndfs or in Slack. Join the DFS Army today by using Promo Code PUCK to save 10% off your membership for life.
