Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande . I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army. It’s another day and another opportunity to make some money. Both sites are offering an early slate with two games and a main slate with the later six games. Today I’ll provide some early notes on some of the plays we are looking at over here at the DFS Army today. This article covers both the Early and Main slate but is by no means comprehensive. For a more detailed breakdown join us over at the DFS Army forums.
Congrats to our own DFS Army Staff Member and Coach loosmeister for winning over 77k yesterday

EARLY SLATE
CORE PLAYS
LeBron James (11500/11200): LBJ is the top dog on this slate. These two teams faced off just a few games back, and the Magic blew out the Lakers. All of this is fresh on the Kings mind, and he’ll come in today looking to avoid the same fate. He’s playable everywhere.
Devin Booker (8100/8600): Booker gets a good matchup here today, and his scoring will be needed to keep pace with what the Piston bigs can do. He’s cheaper on FD than on DK, so he’s much more usable there. Another all format play.
Andre Drummond (10100/9500): Drummond has been on a tear this season. He’s in excellent form and he gets an excellent matchup against the rookie Ayton. Drummond should have his way at the rim and on the boards tonight. Another 20/20 is possible from him. Love him on both sites.
Evan Fournier (6500/5700): The Lakers still haven’t figured out how to defend SGs. Until they do, we can keep attacking them at the position. Fournier is priced well on both sites and should be able to make value.
GPP PLAYS
Nikola Vucevic (9100/8200): Vucevic makes for an excellent pivot off the chalkier Andre Drummond on this slate. The matchup against the Lakers is a great one for Vucevic and getting him at lower ownership that Drummond in GPPs is the kind of leverage we want to exploit.
Blake Griffin (9500/9300): Blake and Drummond have been dominating opponents all season, and they are both is a spot to do the same today against a Suns team that just doesn’t have the bodies to limit them. I love using Blake in GPPs, where he might be a little lower owned due to his price and people trying to fit in LBJ.
Trevor Ariza (4700/5400): To begin with, Ariza is underpriced on FD. For the production he brings and how cheap he is, I love Ariza on FD. This allows for immense savings and the ability to pay up somewhere else.
Brandon Ingram (6300/5900): One of Ingram or Kuzma is going to have a good game today. I’m leaning Ingram. He is a little more consistent and his shot is falling more right now. Kuzma is cheaper and both sites and can be played if there’s a need for salary relief, but Ingram is preferred here in this matchup.

MAIN SLATE
CORE PLAYS
Kawhi Leonard (9700/9400): Kawhi is one of the top studs on this slate and is priced below 10k on both sites. I want every part of this, especially in a matchup against the Heat who have no one that can really slow him down. He’s an all-format play on both sites.
Josh Richardson (7700/6800): With both Goran Dragic and Ty Johnson out, Richardson will handle the ball a lot for this Heat team. His usage gets a nice bump here. He is underpriced for his potential here, making him an excellent play in all formats on both sites.
Montrezl Harrell (8300/7300): Harrell’s price is getting to the point where one has to start having thoughts about paying that much for him. However, there is no denying his production this season. The guy has been a monster so far and is currently on a tear. He’ll garner some ownership tonight and has a high floor and ceiling, making him excellent for Cash and Hybrid lineups. I don’t mind him in GPPs either.
Marc Gasol (9200/8900): Don’t look now, but Marc Gasol has been on one hell of a roll recently. He has scored over 55 FDPs in 3 out of 4. Today he gets the Knicks who are not known for their defensive effort against centers. I like everything about this play here. Gasol has a high floor and ceiling, and with Embiid on the slate and some other cheaper options, he won’t be as owned as he deserves to be.
GPP PLAYS
Kemba Walker (9400/9800): Kemba Walker is playing for that supermax contract this season. He is a man on a mission, and today the Hawks find themselves in his way. Walker has already shown this is not much of a barrier in his way. I love going to this play on FD where Walker is cheaper in GPPs.
Tim Hardaway Jr. (7200/6600): Words can hardly describe the letdown THJ has been over the past 2 games. The good news is, we can get him tonight in a good matchup at half the ownership he’ll normally gather. This is the kind of play we try to leverage in GPPs. We all know THJ is capable of blowing up here, we just need to take a shot.
Nemanja Bjelica (4900/4300): How the mighty have fallen. It’s a far cry from the beginning of the season when Bjelica was pushing towards 8k. His production and minutes are just not the same. However, tonight he gets a matchup against a Jazz team that plays big, allowing Bjelica to get more run here. His price is perfect to allow for rostering more studs on both sites, and we all know he has the upside. Excellent GPP play.
Jaren Jackson Jr. (6700/5900): PFs against the Knicks is a thing to exploit. Normally, this will be a core play. However, Jaren Jackson has been a little inconsistent this season, and I’m worried about his floor here. As a result, this play is limited to GPP only, because Jackson can lay a dud even in such an excellent spot.
That’s it for the early breakdown. Good luck out there today! Make sure to join the DFS Army and get access to our content, tools, coaches, and community that shortens your growth curve for NBA DFS.
