There’s not a lot of value off the bench on this 8-game slate tonight. With injuries taking their toll around the league, there’s so much value in starting lineups that going bargain shopping off the bench is not necessary. However, there are some solid picks one could use today off the bench, and some speculative picks too. I cover the key picks here tonight and as usual, pricing is FD/DK.

Guards
Dennis Schroder (5100/5300) – CASH: Schroder continues to be a consistent option for the Thunder off the bench with Westbrook back. He’s averaging 25 FDP in 26 mins over this span. That’s good enough for value given his price. Schroder’s ceiling is low at the moment, but he has a high floor making him a good cash play on this slate if paying down.
Dante Exum (3800/3700): There’s a lot going on with this game on the Jazz side of things. Both Mitchell and Burks are out, creating minutes to be shared around. Royce O’Neale is starting, which will cause a lot of people to flock to him. This should allow Dante Exum to be low-owned. Exum was the go-to play down the stretch last game when Mitchell got injured, and he looked good. The DFS Army Research Station (RS) currently has him projected for 25 minutes, and at near min-price this is an excellent spot to utilize him, especially on FD with the “drop one” format. Of course, Exum is best used only in GPPs.
Ryan Arcidiacono (3800/3800): With Dunn injured and Payne continuing to underperform, Arcidiacono is seeing solid minutes off the bench. He hasn’t done too much with the minutes yet, but he is extremely cheap on both sites. I love Arcidiacono today as near min-priced guy who will get close to 30 minutes and can put go for 7-8x value on a good night. Take some shots at him in GPPs.
Grayson Allen (3500/3000): A forgotten man in the Jazz situation tonight will be Grayson Allen. His ownership will be near non-existent, but he should see some minutes tonight with so many guards out. He is worth a shot in GPPs, just for his price and the potential if he gets hot. WARNING: He could also put up 2 points tonight, so be careful about playing him. I like him better on FD where I can just make up my mind he’s the drop candidate.
Forwards
Serge Ibaka (6300/5500) – CASH/GPP: Ibaka continues to quietly do his thing. I mentioned the other day he is one of the most consistent players in the game, generally hitting value in most games. He also has the upside to win you a GPP. The matchup against the Suns is a great one for Ibaka and he should feast tonight. I’ll have a lot of Ibaka on both sites, although he is much cheaper on DK.
Domantas Sabonis (6000/6300): To be honest, this is a little pricey for Sabonis especially on DK. That said, Sabonis has shown he really doesn’t need many minutes to do his damage. Sabonis will be chalky today as people chase his last game, reducing his appeal in GPPs, but I can see using him in some hybrid lineups. A clear pivot from Sabonis in GPPs will be his partner in crime Thaddeus Young.
Jae Crowder (5100/5100): This matchup is excellent for Crowder. Since Green went down with injury, Memphis has given up quite a bit of fantasy points to power forwards. Crowder is a solid pro and has been consistent this season. The RS has him projected for 32 minutes tonight and 26.9 FDPs. He can be streaky and blow through value, which is reflected in his current ceiling of 37.8 FDPs. This is the kind of potential we are looking for in our GPP plays off the bench.
