Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande . I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.
Today’s article is VIP only. We have a seven-game slate on our hands. While there’s not a lot of action off the bench today, there are a few excellent plays to look at. Without much ado, let’s dive into these plays!
Another 100k win! Congrats to ziggyboi404 (kushndfs) for this wonderful win yesterday!

CORE PLAYS
Marcus Morris (5100/5200): The Pelicans don’t play defense, and furthermore, they really suck at defending the PF position. Marcus Morris should have a great time taking advantage of this team off the bench. He is cheap on FD for this matchup and is an excellent all-format play there. He is priced right at value on DK, limiting the appeal I have for him there.
Marcus Smart (4000/4100): With Jaylen Brown out, Marcus Smart stands to benefit the most. The matchup against the Pelicans is an excellent one as they never play defense, providing a lot of opportunities for Smart to feast. He’s an excellent play on both sites at his price and is playable in all formats.
Derrick Favors (5900/4800): The Jazz decided to send Favors to the bench and start Crowder instead. Favors responded positively to this move. Favors is never a sexy play, but he is a consistent one. He has a relatively safe floor, and just enough of a ceiling to make him playable in cash games. While he is a little too expensive, especially on FD, the matchup for him today is excellent and one he can exploit fully. He’s a Cash/Hybrid play.
GPP PLAYS
Jordan Clarkson (5700/5400): With Nwaba and all the other Cavs out, Clarkson has a usage rate of 31.7% and puts up 0.95 PPM. This makes Clarkson a very appealing GPP play. The upside for Clarkson is clearly there, with the significant usage rate, add in the additional minutes he picks up with players out and the makings are there for a nice GPP play on both sites.
Markieff Morris (4700/4400): Morris has been phenomenal during Dwight Howard’s absence. In the last three games, with Howard out, Morris has averaged 31 FDPs in 27 minutes. He is still cheap on both sites for the production he brings when Howard is out, and the Wizards play small.
Alec Burks (3500/4000): Burks at min-price on FD with Donovan Mitchell out is a good play. He has the upside to far exceed value although he hasn’t shown it this season yet. That said, I like him only on FD in the drop-one format.
Those are your Sixth Men for today. Good luck out there today!
