DabbingPuggle’s NFL DFS “Draw Plays” for Fanduel or Draftkings Week 13

Welcome everyone, to this weeks edition of Draw Plays!! I’m your host DabbingPuggle, bringing you this weeks insights on the best WR/CB match-ups for your GPP’s. A quick note before we dive in. I like to have fun and make money; I plan on doing both things every Sunday for the next few months. If you like fun, jump in my room #puggle-nfl on Sunday morning 10-1. If you like making money, be sure to read all the articles our NFL staff has for you each week. If you don’t like either, take a hike. Get it? Hut Hut Hike… let’s do this Army!!

Tier 1 Draw Plays

Tyreke Hill Vs. Gareon Conley

Conley is having a breakout year. Very quietly in the shadow of the Oakland circus he has been pretty damn good this season overall. One thing that has followed him though is his inability to stick with receivers on crossing routes which is a Tyreke Hill specialty. Kansas City has a massive 34.75 implied team total for this game and you’re going to want shares of it. I’m looking to Tyreke here coming off a bye week and two absolutely dominating performances.

 Brandin Cooks Vs. Mike Ford

Mike Ford has been thrust into a starting role for the Lions after being signed from the practice squad two weeks ago. They viewed him as an upgrade over Tabor and Lawson… ummm somehow he’s not. His 35% target rate and 100% catch rate paints a really optimistic picture. Hold onto your horses there though, we need to look at that whole picture. This is an extremely small sample size, and the one thing that Ford has is speed, which he’s going to need against a receiver like Cooks. The Rams are a double digit road favorite here and we could be looking at a lot of Gurley in this one, so don’t go crazy. Do I love the spot for Cooks? Yes. Anytime I get a replacement corner, I want to attack them. I can see a lot of spots Cooks explodes here, and a bunch where he has 3-60 and not much else. He’s had 3 straight hundred yard games and is going to be in a lot of my tournament lineups. I would temper exposure in cash though.

Curtis Samuel Vs. Javien Elliott

Someone call me crazy. Go ahead.. That’s right you don’t want to do that because if you’ve taken shots with some of the lesser known names you’ve seen in this article, it’s paid off for you more times than not. Welcome to this weeks speculation play. Javien Elliott has taken over for MJ Stewart and he’s not much better. Elliott has been up and down in this league but the fact that he bounced on and off of the Tampa Bay roster says a lot about his talent. Now Curtis Samuel on the other hand is not going to be nearly as owned as much as say DJ Moore, Cmac, Olsen, Funchess (if he plays). Fact is, he’s the best bang for your buck at his price and has found the endzone in three out of his last four. I am going to have GPP exposure here for sure, and if Funchess does indeed manage to miss this one, I elevate the play. Of course he’s not cash safe, but when he gets chances he has performed and we like to target the Buccaneers defense.

Julio Jones Vs. Jimmy Smith

Julio has been super consistent and has to do it again. It’s a must win for the Falcons from here on out and they need to feature their best player. It’s flat out simple. Jimmy Smith was once a guy we avoided, but he does not look like superman this year. Even if he did, I am still on Julio here given the Falcons dire need for a win. If you’re looking for some advanced analysis here it is…. JULIO JONES IS GETTING 14-18 TARGETS THIS WEEK. It’s not such a bold call either. Play him in cash, have exposure in tournaments in case he decided to figure out what the end zone looks like. Solid all around play this week.

Tier 2 Draw Plays

Chris Conley Vs. Daryl Worley

If Sammy Watkins is healthy (which he’s not) it’s him in this spot. How good was Conley as a starter in their last game though? Real good, the answer is real good. It’s about time he starts getting more looks and is going to be a forgotten man next to Hill and Kelce. However, he has to see some volume and at his near min-price he becomes a really attractive tournament play. We spoke about the Chiefs total and blah blah blah already. Well let’s think about this game for a second. It should be somewhat of a blood bath, but do we really expect the game to just be Hill-Kelce-Hunt? I don’t, Conley had 8 targets last week. EIGHT TARGETS FROM A MIN PRICE PLAYER. Wake up, take some Conley in your gpp’s and use the savings to get yourself a Gurley and some other titans (I mean like fantasy footballs gods, not that really frustrating team from Tenn though Corey Davis makes for a nice play this week as well).

Davante Adams Vs. David Amerson

David Amerson played last week for the first time all year. Somehow, he’s being listed on their depth chart at the starting right corner for Arizona. Logically, I expect Adams to see an absolute ton of Peterson this weekend which is not something I like. However, he’s only going to need a few snaps in this matchup to take advantage of a tremendous mismatch. Adams can beat the best defenders in the game and I want shares of him. Peterson scares me, I am not going to tell you different, but GB needs to win from here on out and they won’t do it without Adams. I like the play a lot for tournaments but will not be using him in cash. Come talk to me more about this on Sunday morning in my room.

Robert Woods Vs. Nevin Lawson

Going back to the blurb on Cooks, Woods is supposed to see Lawson in this game and it’s another spot I really like. Wait a second… what about Darius Slay, he’s not going to be on Reynolds is he? Most likely not, Slay should realistically see snaps against both Woods and Cooks making one of them pretty much open when they see Ford or Lawson. This is why they are both in play as is Josh Reynolds as a pivot off them both if you want to get a little tricky. See, reading the paragraphs can be useful. This Lions secondary is really a mess overall and I plan to take advantage of that. I prefer Woods the most out of the Rams receivers for cash games but he is also GPP viable.

Kenny Golladay Vs. Troy Hill

Golladay should see more then just Hill on Sunday. He should draw double coverage often but his target share on this team is now so saturated that he has to be in play going forward. He’s at the bottom here due to that double coverage risk, but I’ll take 10 targets at his price every single time. Your pivot is Bruce Ellington who should serve as the number 2 receiver here. Golladay should get plenty of chances for production and I don’t mind using him in lineups opposing Cooks and/or Woods.

Value Town

I am quantifying value on each site by price where on FanDuel I am looking for players priced below 6K and DraftKings priced below 5k. These are the guys in GPP’s that are those targeted punts that we need to beat large fields and walk away with the trophy.

Think about this for a moment, you look at the teams at the top and say to yourself, “How in the world did this guy think rostering player X was a good idea?” Well, these are the guys who allow you to get all the heavy hitters in the same lineup. You want a swag bag, you want the big bucks, these are the guys in week 13 I think could help you get there.

FanDuel                                                    DraftKings

1.Corey Davis 5.9K                                                                             1 . David Moore 4.3K

2. Demariyus Thomas 5.3K                                                                2.  Bruce Ellington 3.5K

3. Anthony Miller 5.3K                                                                     3.  Chris Godwin 3.9K

4. Marcell Ateman 4.6K                                                                   4.  Adam Humphries 4.2K

5. Josh Reynolds 5.8K                                                                      5. Courtland Sutton 4.2K
