Last night was the first large slate of the NBA season and we had a blast! Tonight we have a 3 gamer so get ready to dominate
Bulls @ Sixers
The Bulls open their season tonight in Philly. Kris Dunn has already been ruled out (personal reasons) and Cameron Payne will start at the PG. Payne will be locked into 30 minutes and can be locked in cash games. GPP I see merit to fading as there are some crazy high ceilings at the position. What Dunn being out does is put the ball more in Zach LaVines hands. That is where I am looking to take advantage in GPP instead of Payne. Bobby Portis will continue to start and is firmly in play. I will go over the other plays in this game in our VIP forum (join here VIP Membership)
Heat @ Wizards
The Heat are the rare team that starts the season off with a back to back. James Johnson, Wayne Ellington, and Justice Winslow are all out for the Heat with Wade doubtful. This thrusts Rodney McGruder and Derrick Jones Jr into 30 minutes each. Both very cheap and both very much in play. I also like Tyler Johnson here. J Rich will continue to eat as long as the Heat have injured players. We are waiting to see if Dwight Howard plays for the Wizards tonight (back soreness) and that will determine how much Whiteside I will be playing. Stay tuned. I will have a pretty significant amount of John Wall here. Wall LOVES him some opening night and will be throwing up gang signs while he gets his and 1’s all night. Count me in. If Dwight sits look to play more of Markieff Morris. The matchup is not the greatest…but I really like Otto Porter here. He is being asked to shoot more 3’s from his coach and I like the outlook there. Now he just has to sink them.
Lakers @ Blazers
Highest points total on the slate (Sixers Bulls a close 2nd). I don’t think I will have a single LU without Lebron James. The Blazers have notoriously struggled against the SF position and Lebron is the best SF (and player) in the game. All formats here. I am a little concerned about the timeshare between Rondo and Lonzo. They both will be under 30 minutes and that takes away from the ceiling we like to look for in DFS. The pace of this game should make it stomachable, but, I will be staying away for the most part. Kuzma is my 2nd favorite Laker in this game. I expect the Lakers to get him the ball a TON and he should get lots of open looks off of LBJ. Ingram, KCP, and Lance are all in play. Lance to a lesser degree. For the Blazers my top play is Nurkic. I expect this to be an area where the Lakers will struggle to defend this season. Dame and CJ are always in play. I expect them to come out firing on opening night at home. The lower owned play I like here is Aminu. Hes an uptempo player and this game fits the description!
That’s all for today. Our VIPs will get our sleeper plays from today’s games in our coaching channels. You are going to want our late-breaking news and real-time pivots as the season goes. We can be faster through our coaching channels than Twitter when it comes to getting you over to the viable options while the industry only complains that they burned money yet again.
We have been very successful in NBA at DFS Army and, if new to us, you might want to take some time to cruise through our Wall of Wins to see the sick prizes our VIPs have taken down the past couple seasons. That’s all for today. Feel free to ask questions in my channel #the-bear-cave-nba in our coaching channels! I hope to see you at the top of the leaderboards tonight.
