This article focuses primarily on 3-Man snake draft strategy. Reason being is that you can easily apply this information to H2H as well as widen up to 4-Man contests, which is the average size of the daily GPPs. I’m going to break down what I saw in 20-30 drafts today and how we can exploit our opponents using our tools over on DFS Army.

Quick Trends (50 game sample)

*Cooks and Green both have a value of 4

  • Same as week 4, we have 53% chalk. This is important to remember because your results will be more volatile than usual since there are so many 1-offs in contests to deal with.
  • The truest info we have this week is everyone is all in on studs.

  • Gurley was the consensus #1 pick this week. It wasn’t as clear after that. Remember in snake drafts, the turns corrupt the data slightly because it doesn’t matter which order players are drafted in for the 3-4, 6-7, 9-10, 12-13 picks. So Cmac being ahead of Brown is a little misleading.

Draft Projections & Rankings

The default draft rankings by position in Draft for their top positions. While most of these would be solid plays, they are vastly different than our projections and grades we developed in-house at DFS Army where take into account many different metrics that these do not. Combining our brand new Starting Lineups Page, Domination Station, Articles, and research station, you can quickly see where some players in absolute smash spots should be drafted higher than what’s on this list.

Strategy

  • I’m off Mahomes this week as he faces a stellar defense. We’ll just watch from the sidelines and find out like nearly every other Drafter.
  • QBs can go as your last pick. There are more than 6 viable targets for 3 mans this week
  • There is no scarcity at either position this week. I suggest the strongest player by position, with a traditional RB>WR>either>either>QB strategy this week.
