We have a big slate tonight and some interesting value plays popping up. Suspensions an injuries are making a lot of bench players valuable these days and we will walk through some of those options today. Remember the pricing displayed in this article is FD/DK. Before we jump in, let’s take a moment to congratulate fellow Army members who had great wins last night. If you are not yet a member, I have no idea what you are waiting for. Point Guards

Derrick Rose (4600/4400): Rose has started the season on the right foot. He is averaging 29 minutes a game off the bench and is projected to get 26 minutes today. At his price, this is more than enough for him to meet and exceed value. He will be somewhat chalky today given his previous performances, making him an excellent Cash play. In GPPs, it will make sense to pivot off him to others at a similar price point, with the next guy on this list an excellent option.
Terry Rozier (4600/4800): Rozier has settled into his backup role this season, averaging 24 minutes off the bench. This game is an excellent one for Rozier, who is capable of exceeding value in the matchup. Should the game get out of hand early, Rozier could pick up even more minutes. As we can see from the graphic, the DFS Army NBA Research Station (RS) has Rozier with a projected ceiling of 37 FD points. This is what we are looking for in our GPP value plays. Rozier is an excellent pivot off the chalkier Derrick Rose in GPPs.
J.J. Barea (4900/4900): Barea just keeps doing what he does best, score fantasy points. He is only averaging 20 minutes a game this season, but even so, he keeps punching far above that, averaging 1.55 FP/min. This is an insane per minute scoring output, one that will surely drop in the future, but while he is this hot, let’s take full advantage of it. This is only a GPP play, and it is a risky one given his low minute totals.
Honorable Mentions: Fred VanVleet, Patty Mills
Shooting Guards

Josh Hart (5800/5100): No Rajon Rondo, no Brandon Ingram? Fire up Josh Hart. Hart has had no problem finding minutes this season, and with more minutes to go around, he should easily crack the 30 minutes mark. He has been on fire this season, averaging 1.14 FP/min this season. He should easily make value at his price point and the increased usage on both sites. Fire him up in all formats, and keep in mind he’ll be chalky, so he is better used in Cash games.
Malik Monk (5200/4500): Monk is a strictly GPP play tonight. He has been getting good minutes so far this season as the graphics above can attest to. However, he is a little hit or miss right now with Jeremy Lamb fighting hard to keep his place in the starting lineup. Monk is a little expensive on FD but could make for a good play on DK if one needs a 4.5k punt.
Terrence Ross (4400/3800): This is a tough matchup for Magic overall, and normally I avoid playing people against the Celtics. However, there is an opportunity here to exploit. Ross has been getting good minutes off the bench for the Magic, and even with Simmons back, he is still projected for 24 minutes tonight. If this game turns into a blowout early which is possible, Ross could find himself playing even more minutes. He is an excellent GPP game script punt play on both sites.

Small Forwards

Jae Crowder (5200/4700): Crowder has been sensational so far this season off the bench, averaging 31 mins a game and 0.91 FP/min. This matchup is perfect for Crowder to perform in, and with the minutes he is getting, he makes for an excellent hybrid play. I like Crowder on both sites in GPPs, and I don’t mind using him in Cash games as well.
Omri Casspi (3800/3200): Casspi is on this list mainly because of his price and the opportunity before him. With JaMychal Green out, and the Grizzlies short on frontcourt players, Casspi is in line for an increased workload. The RS has him projected at 22 minutes and that should be almost a floor. The matchup is a tough one, but Casspi is basically free on both sites. On FD, he can be the free square allowing for the addition of studs into the lineup, and at near min-price on DK, he provides an option for extreme value if he goes off. He’s an excellent GPP play.
Lance Stephenson (4800/3800): With Rondo and Ingram out, those minutes have to go somewhere. Lance Stephenson is in line to absorb some of them. He is projected for 25 minutes on the RS, and with his penchant for getting hot quickly in certain spots, and his ability to pick up peripheral stats, Stephenson could help someone take down a GPP tonight. He is strictly a GPP play, one that I’ll have some shares of.
Power Forwards

Serge Ibaka (5500/5300): Serge Ibaka has been extremely consistent tonight. Meeting and exceeding value in every game so far. He is averaging 32 FPPG in 29 minutes. Ibaka is projected to get around 30 minutes tonight in a favorable matchup off the bench, putting him firmly in play to hit value. He is an excellent Cash play tonight and can be utilized in GPPs as well.
Noah Vonleh (4300/4300): With Kevin Knox out, Vonleh is in line to pick up more minutes. The RS has him projected at 21 minutes tonight, and I can easily see that increasing towards 30 minutes. This is not an ideal matchup, but the increase in minutes and the low price point dictates taking a shot or two at Vonleh in GPPs, especially on FD.
Honorable Mentions: Damontas Sabonis, Ersan Ilyasova, Kevon Looney
