TODAY’S PODCAST

POINT GUARDS:

* ALL FORMATS *

Damian Lillard (POR @ SAC)
Sure, the Blazers are on a B2B, but that hasn’t fazed Lillard too much this season. De’Aaron Fox was listed as questionable (ankle for tonight’s game, so I can see Lillard taking advantage of the hobbled youngin.

Dennis Schroder (ATL vs CLE)
Schroder was on the injury report with back tightness, but it was apparently just a precautionary thing, nothing too serious. His production over the last six games has been fairly consistent around the 30-point mark, and the matchup gives us some hope to get into the 40s tonight. After all, Schroder does have at least 35 DKP/FDP in two of the three games vs CLE this season.

* CASH *

Ricky Rubio (UTA vs CHA)
I can’t pay $8k for Rubio, but it’s hard to deny that is scoring the basketball so well right now… in fact, he has at least 20 (real) points in five of the last six games.

* GPP *

Chris Paul (HOU vs DEN)
DEN: 5th-best aDvP matchup for PGs this season (8th-best this season) – CP3’s price typically keeps him out of range most nights, but he’s been hovering around the 50-point mark in each of his last three games.

Jerian Grant (CHI vs MIN)
MIN: 2nd-best aDvP matchup for PGs this season – I’m usually not on board with Grant, but his $5000 DK/$5200 FD price tag is more than affordable. Prior to last game, Grant had least 24 FDP in each of his last four… Grant has also played 36 minutes in each of the last two.

Jeff Teague (MIN @ CHI)
Teague occasionally has some terrible games, and that’s the only reason why you can use him in GPPs. The matchup against Chicago is right there at league average, but Teague’s $5900 DK/ $6100 FD price tag is very appealing.

De’Aaron Fox (SAC vs POR)
I need to find out more about Fox’s ankle, but he’s got a prime situation now with George Hill going to Cleveland and Frank Mason III still injured.

Tyler Dorsey (ATL vs CLE)
Bear mentioned Dorsey on today’s pod, and now he’s got my attention. Near min price and has played 24 and 28 minutes in each of the last two games… also has a great matchup vs CLE and Marco Belinelli is in the process of getting a buyout.

SHOOTING GUARDS:

* ALL FORMATS *

James Harden (HOU vs DEN)
I’ll take Harden in my lineup almost any night, but he’s not the one I’m starting my construction with… As mentioned on today’s pod, I consider it a luxury to have him in there with LBJ. Harden went for only 41.5 DKP/37.1 FDP (in 32 mins) vs DEN back in November, but he did have three performances of 60+ against them last season.

Will Barton (DEN @ HOU)
Disregard the March 18th game from last season, but the rest of his performances against the Rockets are pretty damn good… Also, Barton has posted at least 30 FDP/28 DKP in each of the last five games.

Kyle Korver (CLE @ ATL)
Big minutes are coming his way with so many players vacating Cleveland. Korver spent some of his best days in Atlanta, and he’ll look to recreate one of the many magical shooting performances we have seen from him. He’s near min-price in a fantastic situation tonight.

* GPP *

Zach LaVine (CHI vs MIN)
Interesting narrative going up against his former team, but it is also possible for LaVine to draw a matchup with Jimmy Butler… gross. Even with all that being said, we know LaVine is going to take a ton of shots.

Donovan Mitchell (UTA vs CHA)
Mitchell is almost unrecognizable over the last two games, but his situation is much better with Rodney Hood out of the picture. Mitchell also dropped 42 FDP vs CHA a few weeks ago.

SMALL FORWARDS:

* ALL FORMATS *

LeBron James (CLE @ ATL)
The Cavs made some huge moves at the deadline, but unfortunately, they won’t be ready to play tonight. LeBron will have a lot of responsibility on his plate tonight, and that’s with a fantastic matchup to boot. Fading LeBron would not be in your best interest… it would be downright foolish.

Jimmy Butler (MIN @ CHI)
🎵 He’s coming home, coming home… tell the world heeeee’s coming home 🎵 – Butler gets a fantastic matchup with all the motivation to do well in front of the Chicago faithful.

* GPP *

Gerald Green (HOU vs DEN)
Gotta wait and see what happens with Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson… if they’re both out, Gordon will easily get 30+ minutes once again.

Joe Ingles (UTA vs CHA)
This is a sneaky-good matchup for SFs against the Hornets. Ingles’ price is what mostly makes him viable, but his outlook is brighter without Rodney Hood out of the picture.

Taurean Prince (ATL vs CLE)
The epitome of a GPP play, Prince has a floor of 4 and a ceiling of 50 over the last 10 games. Yikes! However, the matchup with CLE is a fantastic one and that’s the only reason I’m even looking at Prince tonight.

POWER FORWARDS:

* ALL FORMATS *

Blake Griffin (DET vs LAC)
Ohhhh, sweet revenge. It’s Blake against his former Clippers teammates… not much of a sell-job needed here.

Ben Simmons / Dario Saric (PHI vs NO)
Joel Embiid is questionable for tonight’s game, and that has negatively-affected Simmons at times in the past. However, I’m going to overlook that factor against such a terrible Pelicans defense. Saric is also viable here as well, especially if Embiid is out.

Jeff Green (CLE @ ATL)
Green won’t get the start, but he’ll play a pivotal role for the Cavs. He has already posted some big performances at random moments this season, and now we know he’s slated for 28 minutes in this game.

* GPP *

Bobby Portis (CHI vs MIN)
Yes, Portis is expensive and Lauri Markkanen is back, but he can still fill up the stat sheet in a hurry. We have him projected for 26 minutes and that’s more than enough time for him to hit value.

James Johnson (MIA vs MIL)
Very disappointing outing in that last game but I think JJ turns it around in this great matchup against the Bucks.

Tobias Harris (LAC @ DET)
It’s not quite the revenge factor that Blake Griffin has, but it’s something.

CENTERS:

* ALL FORMATS *

Anthony Davis (NO @ PHI)
Loves me some AD tonight, no matter if Embiid is playing or not. With the exception of last game, a tough matchup against the Jazz, AD has performed consistently-well around the 60-point mark since Boogie Cousins went down for the year.

* CASH *

Tristan Thompson (CLE @ ATL)
He doesn’t need to do much at this price, and it is a great matchup vs ATL.

* GPP *

Andre Drummond (DET vs LAC)
Everyone (including myself) believes that Blake Griffin will do everything for the Pistons tonight. It’s not totally out of the question, though, to think Drummond can’t go bananas… after all, he’s gone for 60+ twice over the last four games with none of those going for under 45.5 FDP.

Joel Embiid (PHI vs NO)
Embiid probably won’t garner too much interest with the “Q” tag, but he is certainly in a great spot against the Pelicans.

Hassan Whiteside / Bam Adebayo (MIA vs MIL)
Whiteside’s minutes have been all over the place these last few games, and that has allowed Adebayo to step in at times and have some huge performances. I’d be lying if I told you I knew was going to get the minutes, but this matchup against the Bucks is certainly one to take advantage of.

Greg Monroe (BOS vs IND)
Backup centers have consistently done damage to the Pacers since the beginning of 2018.
