NBA DFS Positional Breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings on Feb 26th

It happened again, I can’t make this up. We had another $100,000 winner this past weekend! Make that 12 in the past three months!

We’ve had 12 different winners of $50,000 – $250,000 over the past several months, including another $100,000 winner on FanDuel! Life is good for our members and we’ve seen a 100% growth in the company and upped our staff to 26 strong, handsome, and brilliant members (massive embellishment there). It’s been quite a ride and the beautiful thing is that we have another three months of the NBA season to consistently grow our bankroll until MLB is here. Slow and steady wins the race as far as bankroll goes and that will be important for today’s slate of games.

You can read about them HERE at our Wall of Fame!

This column is an NBA and MLB daily article that we offer for our members. It’s full of relevant statistics, trends, analytics and analysis to get the DFS juices flowing nice and early in the morning. The plays and opinions, including specific GPP strategy, is broken down in detail in Slack chat by our 5-NBA DFS Coaches who all submit daily Slack notes close to lock time so that our members have up to the minute injury analysis.

For this freebie, I will give one or two plays at each position with research and analysis. The full positional breakdown is released daily to our members via our Slack Chat and on our website as a VIP article.

*NOTE* This slate is an insanely good for GPPs and incredibly bad for cash games. There are a handful of superb plays at every single position today and finding the most optimal route for one GPP lineup will take some hard work and tinkering. If playing MME, this is your kind of slate.

PG

Kris Dunn – He looks like he’s about ready to play a full 30-minutes and has a superb matchup at the Brooklyn Nets. The Bulls are in a pace-up spot and are implied to score 4.0 more points than their seasonal average.

His usage rate has been 19.0% and 24.8% in the first two games after the All-Star Break (ASB). The Nets have allowed opposing point guards to score on 54.0% of their field goal attempts (second highest rate in the NBA) so Dunn is in a prime spot to be incredibly efficient and rack up a lot of points even if he doesn’t play 36’sh minutes.

Kyle Lowry – I absolutely LOVE this play for large field GPPs. The Pistons have given up 65.2 FanDuel points to opposing point guards over the last 5-games. That’s the most in the NBA by a full 8.4 PPG over that span of games. They’ve allowed 30.2 real PPG, 13.6 AST, and 3.8 3PM, all of which are the most allowed across those 5-games.

Lowry is always under-owned and is prime for a great output. He has faced Detroit three times this year and scored 33.70, 52.00 and 36.30 FanDuel points. The Raptors have a 114.5 points implied team total and if they reach or exceed it, Lowry likely played a critical role in the scoring.

SG

Jrue Holiday – He continues to be under-owned and continues to score big time as the clear cut second scoring option to Anthony Davis. In the past four games, he’s scored 49.60, 55.30, 48.90 and 59.80 FanDuel points. He gets to face the Phoenix Suns at home who are allowing 58.4 FD PPG in the past 5-games.

No team in the NBA has allowed more actual PPG than the Suns to opposing point guards in the last 5-games (37.4 ppg), 10-games, and season. Holiday is set to absolutely explode and will be a lock IF you decide to play cash games.

Bogdan Bogdanovic is a superb large field GPP option and I will discuss at length what to do with the rest of the Jazz  on our members only 1 on 1 coaches pre-game Slack Chat. Join up if you want the pro’s player pools and strategy for each slate!

SF

Taurean Prince – He’s had a usage rate of 35.3%, 20.3%, 23.6%, 29.5% and 31.2% over the last 5-games. His price tag is only $4,800 on FanDuel and the Hawks are implied to score 111.0 points which is 7.3 higher than their seasonal average. He’s in a phenomenal spot and is way too cheap for his usage.

Josh Jackson – His price tag dropped from $5,900 all the way down to $4,600 and the Suns are implied to score 112.3 points which is 8.2 higher than their season average. He had a terrible game and was embarassed by Maurice Harkless on the defensive end which resulted in him sitting for most of the game and playing the least minutes he’s played since Jan 22nd.

He’s in a great spot to absolutely smash value and has legitimate 40 fantasy point upside at a mid-4k price tag.

PF

John Collins – He’s someone worth going back to the well over on Monday. His price tag is still mid-5k and he’s likely going to be looking at around 30’sh minutes. The Hawks implied total is increased and this is a pace-up matchup. The Lakers also have been smashed by opposing power forwards and Collins should FEAST.

He hasn’t been a high usage rate guy all year but has the opportunity to explode if his usage goes up in tonight’s game. He finished with a 9.6% usage last game and still scored 25 fantasy points. If that usage can return to around 15% or so there is a solid chance he’ll be able to hit 6-7x value for his price tag.

C

Alex Len – He continues to be under-priced and FanDuel just hasn’t raised is price-tag high enough. He’s had over 44% ownership in the past two games and scored 43.40, 37.10 and 33.10 FanDuel points in the last three. Somehow his price only has increased $700 during that game span.

Yes, his matchup with Anthony Davis is daunting and foul trouble could be an issue. However, with a massive spike in the Suns implied team total and the Pelicans hosting the Suns on the second leg of a back to back where the starters played HEAVY minutes, Len has a chance to hit 7-8x his value if he’s able to stay out of foul trouble.

Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about the dozen other premier plays, along with identifying those options I will provide specific designations as to what to use them in and what type of strategy to take if fading the chalk. There are also a couple very troubling issues some teams will have tonight with rest and travel concerns that could leave them looking like they’re playing with weights around their ankles. There is massive GPP appeal in those games and I cannot wait to break those down.

I’ll update my NOTES later in SLACK based on news cycle and do my “cash game” list again with an asterisk next to my cash game core to build around.

Best of luck,
