Before we get into tonight’s games, I want to give a huge shout-out Royal Rosario (@UW81) for making it to Key West for the DraftKings King of the Beach!! We have members every day grinding up their bankrolls and a couple times a month we have guys making life changing money. Join today and get your share of our winnings. We don’t give out lineups, we TEACH you how to build your own with the best tools, coaches, and Slack forum in the industry.
DFS Army member Kanger took down 4th place in the 75th Milly Maker for a cool $50,000.

I focus on NHL DFS. If hockey isn’t your thing, join anyway we have big winners every week in all sports www.dfsarmy.com/ref/32/. We have the best coaches and contributors in the industry, it really isn’t close.
I’m going to do a whole slate breakdown for you guys and go by position. Hit me up in Slack and on Twitter (@rflynndfs) with any input, I want to provide the best content for all current and prospective DFS Army members.
The coaches here really love what they do and even give love notes sometimes to show our appreciation!!

I’ve found that DFS hockey is the most similar to baseball. You need correlation in both cash and GPP, pay up for the most reliable production (Goalie, Pitcher) when you can, and everyone’s floor is zero. Sidney Crosby can get you a goose egg, and Mike Trout can go 0-4 with three strike outs and kill your roster. It can happen, and it will happen. Just ride it out with me and you’ll have success.
I play more classic on FanDuel, and still play Pick ‘Em on DK, so when I talk stacks I will focus more on FD. The scoring is similar as far as points being weighted. For cash, you can mix and match pieces from my stacks to create your lineup. For cash I generally only do two forwards and maybe a defenseman for a 3-man stack, but that’s it. In cash you want pieces of a lot of good scoring options, in GPP you live or die by your line stacks.
You hear a lot of people say “don’t play that guy, he’ll be too high owned.” Forget that nonsense, it is very overrated. Yes, you need some lower owned guy to go off. But if you build a solid team, you’ll have success. It’s highly unlikely that someone will have the exact same team as you. That’s true in all sports!
Without any further ado. Let’s break down tonight’s huge 10-game slate.
Forwards
For forwards, I focus on higher projected games, generally the top-2 lines on those teams – there will be times when line 3 will be in play it’s rare. Then I look at Corsi numbers, both for and against for that line and the line they will be matched up with for most of the game.
STL 1: Tarasenko, Stastny, Sobotka. STL switched up their lines, so make sure you check all the lines closer to lock to make sure they didn’t switch back. MTL 1 is one of the worst defensive lines in the league. So, in a game that could potentially shoot out, look for all the points you can find in this game.
TB 2: Another recent line switch up, it’s now Kucherov, Palat and Point. I think people will still go to the top line. But this line provides one of the best players in the league (Kucherov) and now one of the best value plays on the slate in Brayden Point.
Pitt 1: Crosby, Sheary and Hornqvist. I think this game shoots out. So in a game like that, you have to have Crosby. The Rangers are terrible defensively and frankly so are the Penguins. If you’re making multiple lineups, throw a game stack of this one in. Pitt 2 might be the sneakier play. NYR 2 is their worst defense line and it gets you off Crosby who could be chalky. Although on a 10-game slate. Don’t worry about ownership.
Honorable Mentions: CAR 1, LAK 1, VGK 1-2, NYI 2, DET PP1 (sneaky)

Defense
For defense, I look for floor. The main scoring is going to come from the forwards. By floor, I mean: shots on goal, blocks, points (those are harder to predict) and I want a defense man that gets a lot of ice time on the PP too. Just like in any other sport, you can’t score points if you’re on the bench.
Seth Jones: He only has one point in the last ten games but he has 36 shots on goal, so he’s getting his opportunities. He’s too talented to be in a slump for too long.
Roman Josi: He’s a rock star and I’m going to mention him every time he’s on the slate
Nick Leddy: On a back to back, but he and Boychuck are the top scoring defensive pairing in the league.
Drew Doughty: He is at the top of every offensive category for defense men (CF%, goals, points) and he’s going up against Minnesota who is very weak defensively.
Honorable Mentions: Ekholm, Parayko, Sergachev, Pietrangelo
Goalies
Goalies are not the easiest to predict, because just like a pitcher in baseball they can come out flat and once they get off to a rough start some don’t recover. I lean heavily on Vegas when choosing a goalie. Look at the money line and implied team total (ITT). Generally it is a pay up spot. (This article is coming out before all goalies are confirmed. ALWAYS confirm starters before locking one in)
I thought Smith was cash safe last night and he got rocked. Oh well, we move on. Tonight’s lock and load cash option is Sergei Bobrovski: he has the highest money line and is facing the team with the lowest ITT. CBJ is also very good defensively.
“Variance is a fickle bitch”
Vasilevskiy: Another high money line facing a low ITT. NYI is on a back to back but they still have the capabilty to score in bunches. He is among my favorite goalies tonight, I don’t fully trust anyone besides Bob.
Howard: He could be sneaky, he is facing a lot WPG team but the numbers all seem to line up in Detroit’s favor. Neither team is particularly good offensively and DET is very good on the defense end. Not an all-in but he’s better than a lot of other options tonight.
Honorable Mentions: Jarry (GPP-risky!!), Lehner (YOLO), Subban (ANA can’t hit water if they fell off a boat)
Pick ‘Em
I can’t give away all my plays for free but I do think the best places to attack are NYR, PITT for a potential game stack, STL, and TB. I’ll give out some other potentially sneaky plays in Slack, join today to get in on the action.
Slack is where the magic happens.
Hope this helps you. Remember join the DFS Army www.Dfsarmy.com/ref/32 and follow me on Twitter @rflynndfs. Let’s make some money tonight!!
