Seriously You Need To Join
When you join the DFS Army you are not just joining for NFL. You gain access to every sport and every tool we offer for all of those sports. This week our Domination Station was busting out winners including this big 375.3 that was good for 53,333.33 in the 400k NBA Clutch Shot. We also had three ties for 1st, one take 5th, and one take 6th in the London NBA giveaway.

The Objective
Our goal here is to help you find those winning value players on Fantasy Draft (FD2). We will look to find value plays as well as plays from the Sunday night. Important note there is no longer any MNF game for the main slate on FD2. The scoring on FD2 is the same as DK, but there is an extra Flex spot to play with. The salary cap is also 100k instead of 50k which means the salaries are inflated to match. There are still some small differences between the salary algorithm between FD2 and DK. Most players on FD2 are actually a slight percentage lower than they would be on DK. Meaning a player like Bell at top dollar on both sites is actually 1% lower cap use on FD2.
Defenses
For this week we only gain two extra teams, but both of their defenses could be in play for this week. Detroit has been a pretty solid defense all season. They have only had one game under 10 points and this week they get a meeting against Pit on the road. While it is never exciting to target against Pit this is a great spot to use the Lions for 4700. Hopefully, road Ben shows up and gives the Lions a good feast.
There are really no other plays in that price range or cheaper that feel at all good to use. If you want more options for running defense check out Geeks full player list or my list.
Running Backs
Running backs are a great spot to stack with your Defense which is why they are next on the list. This is not always something that always works out for us as I would not use any RB from Detroit, but I might want them for GPP. This week I am going to give you a stud back and a few price saving options. This is not a full list of RB options, but a few places on FD2 where we can target. For the full list check out Geek’s List and focus on DK.
Bell –
A great option for us to use on FD2 because Le’Veon Bell is not available to us on Draftkings. This is one of those players where you can diversify your DK and FD2 lineups without it hurting you on Draftkings. Priced at 17,300 and facing Detroit on the road does play into it. I like Bell a lot for cash but am okay with the GPP fade. Especially if you play Detroit DST. With a 20 point floor and a 35 point ceiling Bell gives you a solid RB option. My biggest issue is the next 6 names below him in price (Elliot, McCoy, Gordon, Ingram, Freeman, and Howard) are all players I like as much. This is a week where stud RB is king.
Mixon –
Okay so hear me out…Joe Mixon for value? Priced at 9,900 and giving you the best matchup for any RB sounds perfect. Here is the problem. Cincinnati has been playing like shit and they do not seem to want to run the ball. Seven carries in the first half against Pitt and then not a single carry the whole second half. It wasn’t even that they changed the backs up. This is a matchup where if we need value it could come from Mixon. Just leaves a funky taste in my mouth.
White –
Back onto the James White train, we go. Still nothing sexy, but at 10,300 a great PPR target for value. White gets his work in when NE needs to move the ball and with NE losing Hightower this could be that week. I like LA Chargers to bring it this week and make this a game. If that happens White should see his normal targets and a shot at the EZ.
Quarter Back
Last week all four of our bonus options were the players we focused on. This week we are going to look at Three options with none of them coming from the bonus game. These three options are my favorite plays for the week. On Fanduel I have no problem finding the stud priced guys in my lineups. On DK and FD2 we need to find savings everywhere we can. I could also make an argument for Stafford and grab that bonus game player, but I worry about the injury still slowing him down against a Pitt defense that likes to pressure the QB.
Taylor –
Coming in at 10,400 Tyrod Taylor gives us access to a home QB who is favored to win in a game Vegas sees as meh scoring. The over/under is set at 45 which places it right along that middle of the road line for targeting. This is where we now have to figure what we plan to do. Taylor also gives us some access to yards on the ground and the possibility of a rushing TD. None of this makes Taylor a lock to play but that is also why he brings you value. If Taylor can run for 40 yards and throw 2 TDs he is in the same boat as a QB who threw for 3 TDs. Those yards Add up quick, and a rushing TD can bring GPP winning value. Taylor has rushed for at least 40 yards 3/6 games this season meaning it could go either way. He has yet to rush for a score this season so we should not count on it happening. The next issue is I am not sure he can put up a 300-yard game through the air to give us the bonus. Lots of risks, but the upside is there for the value.
Dalton –
If we throw out the games against Pit, Hou, and Bal this season Andy Dalton has still only been a great scorer once. It is fair to point out that 18 points against Buffalo are impressive. This week feels like the week where the Bengals faced Cleveland. Dalton comes in at 10,700 making him the 16th cheapest QB for the week. Dalton will face a Colts team that was struggling on defense before a slew of recent injuries. I like Dalton to score at least 20 points and is a great time to stack with Green.
Wentz –
Nope, we sure are not going to be saving money with Wentz. That does not make him any less attractive between what he has done and the opponent he gets to face. With the ability to run the ball and throw the ball Wentz is the top play. The fact that the Eagles do not run the ball for TDs just makes it even sweeter as Wentz has thrown 4 TDs in 2 of the last 3 and at least three TDs in the last 3 games. There is a concern for weather so make sure to check out #dfs-weather in Slack.
Wide Receivers
It would be pretty easy to point out the wide receivers who will be bonus plays for us this week, but I am wanting to dive into some value plays. If you are playing any of the QB above feel free to stack them with their big name WR. Make sure to check into Geeks picks for a full VIP look at each WR.
We will look at a few 10k or lower options who can help full out your flex for GPP or give you room to play 4 stud RB in cash or GPP. The best thing about two flex spots is it gives you the ability to be different without having to worry about ownership nearly as much. Just remember these are punt type plays which stand out due to match up. They are not a sure thing, but they can make a great 1 off in your lineup to give more salary cap for the studs.
Kearse/Anderson –
So I cheated here and used both NYJ wide receivers in one spot. Mostly because their price is basically the same. Anderson is by far the player to get the most targets and be the safer of the two. It just can go either way depending on which WR gets the score. With NYJ focused more on ASJ at TE than WR it does make more sense to go with the TE than either of these WR. At 9000/9100 they do give us some value against Atlanta who does allow a lot of passing yards to opposing QB.
Tyrell Williams –
A boom or bust GPP type play Tyrell Williams will face off against NE who allows the second most yards to wideouts this season. Allen/Henry/Gordon are all much more secure options this week, but Williams does give us a 9000 punt with upside. The risk is real however as Williams has managed less than 3 catches and less than 30 yards since his great week 4 showing.
Thompson –
Deonte Thompson signs with the Bills and then manages a four catch 107-yard game. If we are playing the Bills offense it is normally for value and Thompson will offer that with an 8,200 pricing going against Oakland. The game against Oakland feels like a game where the Bills will be required to throw the ball to keep in the game. Thompson is another risky value with as good a chance to go bust as he is to hit paydirt. This is simply a week where the low-cost options that stand out carry risk.
Smith-Schuster
The safest of the value WR comes from our bonus game of the week. By safest I mean still has a big risk surrounding him of course. At 9,300 JuJu Smith-Schuster will face struggling cornerbacks and gets the boost of a healthy scratch of Bryant. Not only do we get to use JJSS as a value play, but with him being on a different slate than DK we can diversify without hurting our DK lineups.
Tight End
The big names are in play this week as they are most weeks, but I wanted us to focus on some value options again. Last week I talked about how my favorite thing to do is focus on value in the TE slot. I would rather use someone like Ertz in flex as a lower priced stud WR than run him as a TE forcing me to punt at WR. This week we have two options at 5600 that could have big games.
Griffin –
Griffin is a TE who really needs to find a TD for a big score but has the ability to haul in plenty of passes. This week Ryan Griffin comes in priced at 5600. With Watson at the helm and Fuller return to action Griffin has seen the 2nd most targets for the team in passing work. This is also a game where the CB of Seattle should funnel more pass attempts his way. This is a week where we get a value TE who has been productive and active in his team’s offense and finds themselves facing a defense that normally funnels targets towards the TE. I like Griffin to be an under-owned TE with great upside this week.
Kroft –
With at least 3 receptions in the last four games, Tyler Kroft will go into week against Colts who have given up the 8th most yards to TE this season. Kroft is not someone that we can count on without a TD but that is a normal trend for our punt TE. For cash, if we can get 4 catches and 50-yards, however, Kroft would not kill you based on his price. For GPP we are really needing at least 1 TD but I would really want a 2nd one. At 5600 we gain access to more value against a weak defense.
If you are not playing on Fantasy Draft yet, you should be. I have given you a small taste of FD2 and finding some value and stud plays. For mo, e you can check out Geeks full DK list to help you find some big PPR plays.
