If you listened to today’s podcast, you heard at the end that we discussing the scheduling that the NBA has decided to grace us with over the next month. You will be hearing the podcast pretty much every day Monday through Friday until Christmas. LOCK AND LOAD!!!
There are a ton of things that we need to look out for today. The Miami Heat have decided to give everyone the night off or make them questionable for tonight’s game. This is important because on a day that we were originally starving for value, we no longer will. Jason Richardson will probably be very popular tonight because of how early this news has come out.
Another situation that we need to pay attention too is the Charlotte Hornets and Nicolas Batum. On Saturday, with Batum out, Jeremy Lamb went for 18 points and 17 rebounds. This is going to sound a little backwards, but for tournaments tonight, I have zero interest in Lamb if Batum is OUT. The other key component in this is Marco Belinelli, who is also a GTD tonight. For me to play Jeremy Lamb tonight, I need Batum IN and Belinelli OUT. My reasoning is I want to do the exact opposite of what the industry is going to do. If Batum plays, then people are going to automatically look away from Lamb. Now, I’m also going to temper expectations and not expect 17 rebounds either. Stay tuned!
GREEN: My Core. My favorite plays of the night. These are guys that I am building my rosters around.
YELLOW: Value options that are safe for both Cash Games and tournaments. When it comes to Value. I don’t really discriminate between the two types of games. These are guys that I feel are going to be highly owned across the sites no matter the game type.
BLUE: These are players that I believe are very capable of giving you a fantastic breakout game at low ownership for tournaments. These are also guys that no matter what their price is, could completely bomb and not pay off their salary. As Kevin would say, these are NOT SAFE FOR CASH! (NSFC)
