It’s Friday! It’s Black Friday! As you spend your day recovering from all the turkey and dressing and pie that you stuffed your face with, let’s run down some of the notable things we need to pay attention to concerning tonight’s 14 game slate for our NBA DFS entertainment!
This is the type of slate that you need to figure out exactly how you want to play. What I mean by that is do I want to play each slate? Just the main? This is where knowing your stregnths is going to really pay off. For me, I’m going to have a little bit of everything tonight, kind of like my Thanksgiving plate.
This is also they type of slate where you are going to need to take a stand. You won’t be able to cover everything so please, don’t try. If you are playing the “Main” slate, with all 14 games, you could pull a strategy that in NBA DFS is very very useful. With the earlier games ownerships being a little heavier than what, in my opinion, should be, pick out a couple value options and load up on the later games. I’m choosing to get my exposure to the early games through the earlier slates.
Currently, there are only two games with a spread larger than 10 points. one of these games just happens to be Cleveland against Dallas. One of my strategies on a 14 games slate is to go through a process of elimination. Trying to work through this game, given what we’ve see from both teams recently, I can pretty much eliminate this game. Do we predict blowouts? No, they don’t happen as much as Vegas would like us to believe they do, but, besides LeBron, Kyrie, and Kevin, I wouldn’t have a lot of interest here anyways. So with other players I have more interest in at these positions, it’s just easy to get exposure to them in the condensed slates instead of the larger 14 game ones.
Make sure we pay attention to a lot of the injury news and the pivots in the DFS Army VIP Slack channels today as I’m sure there will be some news that will come out closer to lock. Make sure you have a plan and pivot if anything that comes out effects you.
Also, make sure that you watch and refresh the cheat sheet through the evening to get my rankings. As news comes out, I do add, and change how I rank players at each position. There are some nights that I could realistically put 15 PG’s on the sheet, but I only limit them to 10. I have found that for myself that narrowing down my options, gives me a better chance for success.
