Welcome back to the 2026 Week 6 edition of Part the Cloud!
We have a really fun slate to break down from a wide receiver perspective. Before we dive into this week’s matchups, let’s revisit our Week 5 picks. With no feature last week, we have some catching up to do—both in reviewing our misses and celebrating the lessons learned in the film room.
Let’s get into it!
🎥 The Film Room: Looking Back at Week 5
Every week brings opportunities to learn, and our previous picks were no exception. Here’s how things played out:
Roman Wilson — Incomplete
Unfortunately, Wilson suffered an injury very early in the game, leaving us with too little information to evaluate the play fairly. We’ll mark this one incomplete and move on.
Isaac TeSlaa — Two Targets. Deja Vu.
Two targets. Again.
There’s not much to celebrate here. When opportunity fails to materialize, even an intriguing matchup can’t save the play.
Tre Tucker — The Matchup We Misread
DK: 1.6x | FD: 1.0x
Tucker finished with four receptions for 41 yards and lost six yards on his rushing attempt.
The biggest issue? Brock Bowers dominated on the outside, and that wasn’t something I had adequately accounted for in my original analysis. Sometimes the film tells a different story than the one we envisioned. This was a good reminder to consider how a team’s offensive personnel and target distribution can affect an otherwise appealing play.
With the lessons learned, it’s time to turn the page and find our next set of opportunities.
🏈 11 Personnel: Week 5 Wide Receiver Targets
Each week, I’ll break down the slate and identify at least three wide receivers I believe are positioned for success. I’ll draw on several sources to support the analysis, but Fantasy Points Data remains one of my primary resources. At first glance, this slate features several prominent names in appealing spots. But are the matchups, projected ownership, and underlying data enough to support the hype?
Let’s find out.
🎯 1. Jalen Coker
DraftKings: $5,900 | Projected Ownership: 6.25%
FanDuel: $6,000 | Projected Ownership: 8.95%
The Case for Coker
Jalen Coker is healthy again, and he returns to a matchup against Cooper DeJean, who appears to be stuck in a downward spiral. At these projected ownership levels, I think the opportunity is being overlooked. DeJean has allowed more than 2 fantasy points per target and hasn’t looked nearly as sticky in coverage as he once did. Philadelphia also deploys zone coverage at a rate that sits slightly above the league average, putting it in the top half of the NFL. That’s an important detail because Coker has shown a strong ability to produce against zone coverage. He’s the Panthers’ most productive receiver, period, and this matchup sets up beautifully for his skill set. The combination of a favorable coverage matchup, a healthy return, and modest projected ownership makes Coker one of my favorite wide receiver targets on the slate.
The verdict: A strong tournament option with the potential to outperform his ownership.
💎 2. Jalen Royals
DraftKings: $3,300 | Projected Ownership: 1.99%
FanDuel: $5,300 | Projected Ownership: 0.82%
The Case for Royals
There are two major factors working in Jalen Royals’ favor this Sunday: Kansas City’s thinning receiver room and the injuries piling up in Los Angeles’ secondary. The Chargers are dealing with a cluster of defensive back injuries and will be without their starting strong safety, starting left cornerback, and backup right cornerback. Meanwhile, Rashee Rice has been ruled out, leaving Kansas City without another starting receiver. That combination creates an opportunity for the remaining pass catchers to step into larger roles. Los Angeles typically relies more heavily on two-high safety looks, a defensive structure that could suit Royals’ skill set. Historically, Worthy would be a natural name to consider in a game without Rice, and I understand that argument. However, I believe there’s value in looking beyond the obvious options and targeting the receivers who could benefit from the expanded opportunity.
That’s where I’m planting my flag. At his projected ownership, Royals offers an intriguing combination of salary relief, potential opportunity, and matchup appeal.
The verdict: A low-owned dart throw with upside, particularly for large-field tournaments.
🚀 3. Cody White
DraftKings: $3,200 | Projected Ownership: 0.6%
FanDuel: $5,200 | Projected Ownership: 0.19%
The Case for White
We should see a healthy amount of passing from the Silver and Black this week, and a matchup against Buffalo immediately puts the Raiders’ receivers on our radar. Brock Bowers is the obvious starting point. Tre Tucker deserves consideration, too, and I’m not looking to talk anyone out of either player. But I do want to introduce another name to the conversation: Cody White.
The Raiders will almost always have Bowers and Tucker on the field, while the remaining receiver spot is rotated. White has emerged as the next wide receiver in line. Over the past two weeks, his snap rates have been 53.8% and 50%, trailing Bowers, Tucker, and Mayer. Within that role, however, he has posted targets-per-route-run (TPRR) rates of 14% and 15%. Those numbers are respectable given his playing time, and they give us a reason to pay attention.
Why the Buffalo Matchup Matters
Christian Benford is Buffalo’s best cover man. Although the Bills haven’t defended particularly well overall, I would expect them to make an effort to contain Bowers as much as possible. I don’t necessarily expect Benford to shadow him, but a steady dose of coverage directed toward Bowers could be in the cards. That brings us to the other side of the field, where Maxwell Hairston has struggled badly. If the Raiders can exploit that matchup, White could benefit from an opportunity that few DFS players are likely to be considering. Of course, there are risks. His playing time is limited, and his role isn’t as secure or prominent as those of the Raiders’ top options. This isn’t a play I would prioritize in smaller-field contests. In large-field tournaments, however, the combination of minimal projected ownership, a low DraftKings salary, and a potentially favorable matchup makes White worth a look.
The verdict: A deep tournament dart throw for players looking to differentiate their lineups without spending much salary.
📋 In Summary: Three Wide Receivers to Target
This week, my favorite low-owned wide receiver plays are:
- Jalen Coker: A favorable matchup against Cooper DeJean, with zone coverage presenting an appealing opportunity.
- Jalen Royals: An opportunity to benefit from Kansas City’s depleted receiver room against an injury-ravaged Chargers secondary.
- Cody White: A deep-value tournament option with minimal projected ownership and a potential path to production against Buffalo.
These are my favorite contrarian wide receiver targets for the slate, but the work doesn’t stop here. I’ll continue monitoring the news and looking for additional value as kickoff approaches.
