FIVE DFS MLB Stacks
Seattle Mariners
Tomoyuki Sugano in Colorado? Yeah, I’m interested. He’s been bad, and now we get the altitude on top of it. Seattle has enough power to take advantage of the environment, and this is exactly the type of matchup where I don’t mind being aggressive with an offense. Coors obviously makes the Mariners more popular than they might otherwise be, but I’m still happy to have exposure.

Chicago Cubs
Both offenses are in play here, but I’m especially interested in the Cubs. Rhett Lowder has a 5.79 ERA, the game is in a hitters’ park, and Chicago brings a ton of upside to the table. That’s a pretty fun combination for tournaments. Lowder can certainly have a good game, but I’m not going to let that scare me away from an offense this talented in this environment. All of it is pretty exciting to me.
St. Louis Cardinals
Jake Irvin isn’t someone who immediately jumps off the page as a pitcher I need to attack, but I don’t mind getting some Cardinals exposure here. St. Louis has enough capable bats to take advantage if Irvin isn’t sharp, and on a larger slate I don’t think this is a spot that’s going to draw a ton of attention. More of a deeper tournament option for me, but there’s enough upside to take some shots.

Cincinnati Reds
David Peterson has been bad for most of the season, carrying a 5.11 ERA, and now he gets the Reds in Great American Smallpark. That’s pretty much all I need to hear. Cincinnati has enough power to take advantage of mistakes, and the park gives every ball hit in the air a little more upside. I like this as a tournament stack.
Cleveland Guardians
Jack Perkins comes into this one with a 6.11 ERA, and Cleveland has plenty of reason to keep the pressure on. They’re fighting to stay ahead of the White Sox for the top spot in the AL Central, so every win matters, and this is a matchup where I don’t mind backing them. The Guardians aren’t always going to give you a massive ceiling, but Perkins is exactly the type of pitcher I want to attack. I’ll have some shares.
