Four games wrap up a crazy week. Let’s dive in!
The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines. These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.
Starting Lineup – March 9
The Goalie: John Gibson
Might feel a little gross, but he makes some sense as the Isles are on the second half of a road back-t0-back and they have scored the fifth fewest goals in the league (not to mention losing Brock Nelson at the deadline). Small slate, so we want to get a little different.
The Center: Roope Hintz
Playing extremely well (13 points in his last five games), and even though the Stars played last night, the Canucks are in a bit of a free fall at the moment, so there’s good potential here.
The Wing: Artemi Panarin
It’s time for the Rangers to make that push, and Panarin facing his first club in a good game environment has me interested. He’s still an elite player, and Miller’s presence on his line has gotten him back to that top-level play we’re accustomed to seeing from him.
The Defenseman: Zach Werenski
Over a point per game on three and a half shots on goal in 25+ minutes of action, and he’s in a competitive environment with two teams trying to grab a postseason berth.
The Value: Tanner Pearson
Notched a goal and an assist in each of his last two games; skating on L1 with Eichel/Stone.
The Stack: CBJ (Marchenko-Fantilli-Voronkov-Werenski)
Both teams are fighting for one of the two wild card spots; Columbus has a game in hand and is tied with New York, who is on the second half of a back-to-back (and Shesty played yesterday in a tough one against Ottawa). Good ceiling from this group and may be a little lower owned.
