DFS NHL Building Blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel – November 29

NHL Building Blocks – November 29

Eight games this afternoon on the main slate, and the question is: how many of these players will be stuffed from yesterday?  Let’s find out together.  Let’s dive in!

The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines.  These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.

Starting Lineup – November 29
The Goalie
: Jacob Markstrom
Markstrom (10-6-1 / 2.54 / .904) is in a great spot today as not only do the Devils have one of the best offenses in hockey (third most goals in the league), the Red Wings have one of the worst (second lowest shots per game and tied for the second fewest total goals scored).  Even though New Jersey is on the road, I like him in all formats.

The Center: Brayden Point
Point is playing his best hockey as of late, scoring seven goals in his last five games (bringing him up to 15 on the season, third in the league), and they have a good matchup against a struggling Predators team.

The Wing: Martin Necas
Necas has taken over the league lead in scoring with 37 points, and Carolina has a tough matchup with the defending champs tonight, so he’ll be needed.

The Defenseman: Zach Werenski
Too overlooked for his ability and production; he’s got four goals and eight assists during his current six-game point streak while playing over 26 minutes a night.

The Value: Dmitri Orlov
An assist in each of his last six games and leads the league in plus-minus at +19.

The Stack: NJ (Hughes-Bratt-Hischier-Meier)
The Devils might have the best matchup offensively on the slate facing a below average Red Wings defense (they give up the fifth most shots per game), and New Jersey’s offense is at the top of the league in efficiency.  Mix and match these four and add in Hamilton and Noesen as secondary pieces.
