Defenses to Stream – Week 17 NFL Fantasy Football

DFS Army’s Gthom goes over the defenses to stream this week. The defenses to stream listed below are normally found in at least 40-percent of leagues (prior to waivers).

Chiefs D/ST vs Denver Broncos

Available in 37% of Sleeper Leagues

Chiefs were destroyed in this spot just a few short weeks ago. With the Broncos becoming a bigger laughing stock than the Lions and Jets, Kansas City should be able to do whatever they please against the Broncos.

In the last three weeks no team has been worse at stopping opposing D/ST’s than the Broncos. They have allowed 15.7-FPPG to the opposition defense, a whopping 9.1 fantasy points above expectation.

The Kansas City D/ST has played well of-late too. Across their last three games they have scored 26 fantasy points. They are averaging 8.7-FPPG during the same time as well.

Giants D/ST vs Indianapolis Colts

Available in 85% of Sleeper Leagues

Week 16 Monday Night Football solidified Jeff Saturday’s Colts: they are nothing but Jonathan Taylor on offense. And since Taylor is sidelined for the season, the Giants are an easy plug-and-play defense for Championship week.

The worst team against opposing defenses since Week 13 is the Colts. They are allowing 14.7-FPPG to opposition D/ST’s and that is 7.1 fantasy points above expectation during that time. If you thought Nick Foles was the answer, he just logged 17/29 for 143 passing yards and three interceptions during Week 16’s Monday Night Football contest against the Chargers. The Colts offensive line has allowed the second most sacks in the NFL as well.

The Giants’ defense has been playing respectable over their last three games. They are scoring an average of 7.7 fantasy points per contest in that time.

Jaguars D/ST @ Houston Texans

Available in 91% of Sleeper Leagues

Houston has gotten better as an offense and they aren’t an auto-stream-against team any more; what’s also true is that Jacksonville’s defense is the second best D/ST since Week 14. Jacksonville has averaged 12.7 fantasy points per game over their last three weeks.

The Jaguars have 10 sacks, caught four interceptions, recovered four fumbles and scored one defensive touchdown in their last three contest. This Jaguars play is more about the defense’s recent success, and not necessarily Houston’s inabilities on offense (which seemed to have been resolved of late).

Houston has been on a good run over their last three games, but the train stops against a scorching hot Jacksonville team led by the continued emergence of Trevor Lawrence.
