Yahoo! Cash Game Players for Week 9
Last week on Yahoo! we nailed the top Stack of the Week with Tua and Hill and were also on the great Cash/Tournament plays of Henry, Foreman, Pollard, & DJ Moore. Let’s look to keep it going this week on a slate where the value will be more difficult to identify.

Quarterbacks
Josh Allen $40
The Bills have the highest projected game total on the slate at 29.75 points and we’ve seen Josh Allen feast in these spots before in onslaught stacks. With the emergence of Defensive Back, Sauce Gardner in New York, I’d prefer to play Davis over Diggs this week in stacks, but Diggs has beaten tough matchups before. It’s early in the week but it appears value could open on the slate, and I’d prefer to play Allen over the other options with his seasonal average of over 27 points per game.
Justin Fields $30
Fields has been QB2 in scoring over the past few weeks and it’s caused his price to rise from $20 last week all the way to $30 this week. At $30, I’d rather pay up for Josh Allen or take a chance on a $20 Quarterback as the 20-point projected team total is low enough to scare me away at that price. That said, he has a decent floor with his running ability as he’s averaged 75 rushing yards and 2 total touchdowns over the past 3 weeks.
Running Backs
Austin Ekeler $39
Ekeler has averaged a staggering 28.95 points per game over his last four games. This week the Chargers are likely without Williams and Allen, (who suffered a setback with his hamstring injury) so Ekeler should be in line for an even heavier workload. Ekeler has averaged 2 touchdowns a game during the last 4 games, and he gets an Atlanta team that ranks near the bottom in allowing rushing Touchdowns. He’s priced up as the top back for a reason and I think there will be enough value to pay all the way up for him.
Travis Etienne $27
In the past two weeks we’ve seen Travis Etienne average 19 carries, 135 yards, and 1 touchdown; Furthermore, he ran for 150 yards last week after Jacksonville traded James Robinson. According to the Statsational Power Rankings, the Jags project well this week on the ground and through the air, which is great because Etienne sees work in both areas.
Aaron Jones $26
Aaron Jones has a 16.14 FPTs projection this week – which is good for third best among all Running Backs. He’s also priced $6 below the 2nd priced Running Back. After getting 20 carries last week and averaging 7 Yards per carry, he should continue his hot streak going against a Lions Defense that allows over 5 yards per carry.
Rhiamondre Stevenson $23
Stevenson’s volume has just been too good lately as last week he had 47% of the carries and a 27% target share in the passing game. He also has 3 touchdowns in the past 3 weeks. The concern here is the game total is low as well as the team total, but the Patriots are home favorites and that’s the best scenario for a Running Back.
*Injury Pending Plays*
Jamaal Williams $22
As of Wednesday, Swift hasn’t practiced due to ankle and shoulder injuries; Campbell also said they gave Swift too many carries in his first game back so there’s a legit chance that Swift sits out again this week. If Swift can’t play, Jamaal is a lock for my Cash lineup. Williams has 4 games with 2 or more touchdowns this year and has a great matchup this week against a pretty poor Green Bay run defense.
Tyler Allgeier $15
The Chargers are giving up fantasy points to running backs at the 2nd highest rate in the league. Allgeier has scored touchdowns in multiple weeks but there is the chance that Cordarrelle Patterson returns this week and then none of the Atlanta backs are playable in cash. Tyler is an interesting tournament play if Patterson doesn’t return this week.
Deon Jackson $10
Jonathan Taylor is still dealing with an ankle injury and Yahoo didn’t price up Deon Jackson in case Taylor misses the game. The last time Deon got the start, he got 120 all-purpose yards and a touchdown to the tune of 23 points. If Taylor is ruled out and Deon gets the start, he’s a no brainer at his $10 salary.

Wide Receivers
Tyreek Hill $32
Tyreek’s 32% target share ranks among the elite of the elite and he’s turned all those targets into 961 yards through 8 games. His 16.83-point projection is just a fraction of a point behind Kupp’s and Tyreek is priced $7 below Kupp. The one drawback is Hill hasn’t gotten into the endzone since Week 2 but he’s due for positive regression there. Nonetheless, he’s the WR2 on the season.
Tee Higgins $28
Without Chase, Higgins is Numero Uno in the Bengals’ passing offense and Cincinatti projects as a top 3 passing offense this week according to the Statsational Power Rankings. Carolina ranks as the 11th worst passing defense in the league so the matchup is favorable by all metrics.
Gabe Davis $24
The matchup for Diggs this week is tough, and he’s priced all the way up to $40 so I prefer to pay down for Gabe Davis at $24 who has the big play ability to get into the endzone – like he did against Pittsburgh when he went for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns. We need Touchdowns on Yahoo and Davis scores them.
Josh Palmer $19
In the highest projected game total on the slate, the Chargers look to capitalize on the Falcons’ awful secondary potentially without Allen or Williams. Palmer is a screaming value at $19 that I’ll certainly have cash consideration for.
Terry Mclaurin $19
Heinicke loves to target Mclaurin; Mclaurin saw a 26% target share last week and has back-to-back 8 target games for 186 yards and a touchdown. He’s great value at only $19.
DJ Moore $16
There’s really no rhyme or reason to Yahoo’s pricing of DJ Moore as he’s averaged 10.5 targets, 110 yards, and 1 touchdown over the past two weeks and his salary actually dropped $1 since last week. He’s the focal point of the offense since the Christian Mccaffrey trade and in play on Yahoo in all formats.
Rondale Moore $11
This week’s top Fantasy Points per Dollar Wide Receiver play via DFS Army’s Domination Station. With Nuk back in the offense, Rondale Moore is finding more opportunities as he turned a 20% target share into 92 yards and a touchdown last week.

Tight Ends
Kyle Pitts $16
Yes, if you drafted Pitts in Dynasty or Season Long you’ve been disappointed. He’s scored a Touchdown in 2 out of the past 3 weeks, however, and his 23% target share and $16 Salary is why he’s the top Fantasy Points Per Dollar play this week.
Robert Tonyan $11
This game ties for the highest projected game total on the slate and with the Packers passing offense projecting very well this week vs the awful Lions’ secondary, Tonyan is one of the top pay down options.
Mike Gesicki $11
Gesicki has 3 touchdowns in 3 weeks so not only is he a good value play at Tight End this week with his $11 salary, but he’s also projected as low owned so he can be a cheap leverage play in Miami and Chicago stacks.
Defense
Miami Dolphins $12
At $12 and an 8.25-point projection, Miami projects as the top Fantasy Points per Dollar play this week. If Miami can score a lot and force Chicago to throw, it may get Chicago out of their game a bit and Fields to cough the ball up.
Los Angeles Chargers $10
At minimum pricing, this is the top Fantasy Points Per Dollar play this week going against Atlanta.
Yahoo! Stack of the Week
Josh Allen + Gabe Davis
Projected Team Total: 29.75
Projected Ownership: 29%
The Bills have the highest projected game total on the slate at 29.75 points and we’ve seen Josh Allen feast in these spots before in onslaught stacks. With the emergence of Defensive Back, Sauce Gardner in New York, I’d prefer to play Davis over Diggs this week in stacks. Davis has the slate breaking upside that we’ve seen before and projects for about 10% ownership which is 15% less than Diggs currently projects.
Top Yahoo! Leverage Plays
Tua at 4%
The Miami passing offense projects for over 250 yards and this game has sneaky shootout potential if the Bears offense continues to play well as they did last week vs a very good Cowboys’ Defense. If I can get Tua stacks at pretty low ownership, I’m all about it with the upside we know that they bring.
Tyler Allgeier at 2%
The Chargers are giving up fantasy points to running backs at the 2nd highest rate in the league. Allgeier has scored touchdowns in multiple weeks and is an interesting tournament play if Patterson doesn’t return this week. If Patterson does return, I’d take some shots with Patterson as he’s been in so many GPP winning lineups dating back to last year.
Tyler Lockett at 5%
Lockett is seeing 8+ targets most weeks and he’s open deep, often. He’s gone off for 40+ points against the Cardinals before and this game has shootout potential.
Allen Lazard at 3%
If Lazard returns to the lineup, I like taking some shots in tournaments with him in a game that projects as high scoring and pass heavy.
Josh Palmer at 2%
In the highest projected game total on the slate, the Chargers look to capitalize on the Falcons’ awful secondary potentially without Allen or Williams. Palmer is such a value without Allen that I’m guessing the field will catch on and he’ll be a lot higher than 2% owned. It would have to get in the range of over 20% for me to be off of Palmer.
Jaylen Waddle at 1%
I struggle to see a scenario where Waddle remains this low owned after the week he just had, but I’d have a ton of Waddle exposure if he remains low owned. I’ll probably be even with the field if his ownership does climb.
Mike Gesicki at 3%
Gesicki has 3 touchdowns in 3 weeks so not only is he a good value play at Tight End this week with his $11 salary, but he’s also projected as low owned so he can be a cheap leverage play in Miami and Chicago stacks.
