Waiver Wire Adds Drops for Week 9 NFL Season Long Fantasy Football | DFS Army

Every week we will be breaking down the top waiver wire adds for your season long fantasy football leagues. This article will highlight some of the key players to target in week 9 and the recommended Free Agent Auction Budget (FAAB) you should spend. Check out the video to get a more detailed breakdown and a deeper list of players.

Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Targets

Devin Duvernay, Baltimore Ravens 5-10% FAAB

Devin Duvernay was the prototype boom/bust wide receiver entering the 2022 fantasy football season. Through the first half of the season, he has shown himself to be a reliable option for Lamar Jackson on a Ravens team desperate for wide receiver production. Duvernay won’t win you your week but he is a reliable bye week player. The Ravens face the New Orleans Saints on Monday night football in a game with a 48.5 over under. The Ravens will be without Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews is dealing with shoulder and ankle injuries. Duvernay has the potential for a solid floor with touchdown upside with his 4.39 speed.

Rondale Moore, Arizona Cardinals 5-10% FAAB

Since returning from the hamstring injury sustained in the pre-season, Rondale Moore has averaged a route participation over 90% and has two games with a 99% snap share. The return of DeAndre Hopkins in week 7 eviscerated Moore’s fantasy production where he garnered only 2 targets. In week 8 he had a huge bounce back tying his career best 23.4 PPR points. It’s clear that Hopkins will be the lead dog in the Arizona wide receiver room. Rondale Moore will have a meaningful role moving forward though and will be important as the Cardinals look to rally towards a playoff berth.

Running Back Waiver Wire Targets

Latavius Murray, Denver Broncos 5-10% FAAB

Latavius Murray, the 32 year old Journeyman running back, continues to show fantasy relevance in 2022. Murray has scored three touchdowns in four weeks since joining the Broncos. During that time he is averaging a 43% snap share. In the week 8 London game, Murray out-touched Melvin Gordon 15 to 12 and has a firm spot in the backfield committee. Fantasy Football is a game of attrition and players like Murray are important to help your teams during bye weeks and player injuries. The Broncos are on bye in week 9 so you will need to stash Murray for a week if you have room on your bench. He is also a drop candidate that you should watch for following the initial waiver run.
