Usman $9100 Vs. $7100

The line to Impact Lean: -120 Usman Decision

I know there is a lot of talk about Usman having an injury, being in movies, and possibly losing this fight as a top dog. However, that is all narrative-based information, and how much money is won consistently by following narrative street? So, what do we KNOW?

• Usman +175 KO/TKO/DQ
• Usman -120 Decision
• Regardless of decision or Finish, Usman averages over 120 fantasy points (DraftKings) per fight

Usman is not even the highest-priced fighter on the card, and he has almost scored 200 fantasy points in one fight! Now, do I think that will happen here? Probably not, but I don’t believe this is a spot to get cute and try to fade the guy in contention for being the best fighter of all time. With that said, I will be heavy on Usman, and if I play 20 lineups, he will be in 18 of them. In the lineups he is not in, I will have Edwards, so this fight is ALL IN for me!

Costa $8700 Vs. Rockhold $7500 

The line to Impact Lean: Under 1.5 -110

In the words of a wise man, “You need to do your F****** homework” if you are not loading up on this fight, LOL! Both fighters are priced well, considering their early finish odds make them eligible to get that early finish bonus. On the Costa Side, he is the rightful favorite as although he has lost 2 in a row to studs (Vettori, Izzy), he had won 10 straight, with 9 of them being KO/TKO wins. He is +175 R1, +400 R2 & +900 R3 TKO/KO, which tells us the books like the odds of him getting it done within the first two rounds. At $8700, I don’t see how a dominant performance by him with a finish as the cherry on top does not end up optimal.

My man Rockhold has been grubbing on shrooms and recovering for quite a while as he was beaten three times in a row before this long layoff. In 2 of those losses, he was knocked out; however, earlier in his career, he was much more durable. Unfortunately, that was then, and this is now, BUT that does not mean he can’t come out like the crazy man he is and finish Costa in R1 (+1100), and he is +750 to get a submission at any time in the fight. On a card that lacks dogs, I don’t think he is the worst player in the world. In an ideal world, I will have him in 4-5 of my 20 Lineups and ensure Costa is in the other 16-15. That said, this is another ALL-IN fight for me!

UFC 278 Betting: Under 1.5 -110

Fletcher $8400 Vs. Loosa $7800

The line to Impact Lean: Godinez -150 Decision

This is another fight I like a lot, but I only want the Fletcher side as it relates to DraftKings scoring. Fletcher is a natural-born killer, but the public is moving to a Loosa who deserves some respect as well as his best path to victory is a decision with the Over 2.5 set at -180.

However, Fletcher is 5-1 over his last 6, with five of those wins being finishes (Submission and KO/TKO), and eight of his nine professional wins have been finishes. He got the early finish in the contender series fight against Damiani. However, following that fight, he lost a decision to M. Semelesberger, but he did manage to get 4 Take Downs on the way to his loss. How well that loss ages is still in the air, as Semelesberger recently lost to a Morono who looked to be improved and competent in their fight.

Therefore, with two relatively unproven fighters, I want the upside of Fletcher. Loosa appears to be more of a decision guy as he steps up in competition, with his last five fights being decisions (3 losses). Before this, Loosa had shown R1 finish ability, so that I will have a little of him, but my leading investment will be Fletcher.

Leverage Play 

Miranda Maverick $9300

If you pay attention to my articles, you will notice I added an extra favorite fighter this week, and that is because I think Miranda Maverick, at $9300, has the potential to be low-owned and smash in her matchup. There are not many worlds where she loses this fight as she is -420 Money-Line and has seven submissions out of her ten professional wins. When I saw ownership projections for her at 25% or lower, the word LEVERAGE immediately came to mind.

Usman? Yeah, everyone will be on him, rightfully so! However, why would I not play a fighter in a smash spot that could separate me from the field? I am confident she will score over 100 fantasy points and could give me the edge I need on a card with the potential for all the chalk to hit. With that being said, I am heavy on Maverick this week and hoping she will be one of the two 9k fighters needed to land in the optimal.

FIGHT to FADE

Pudilova $8300 Vs. Wu $7900

This fight is not attractive to me as it lacks action potential, and the fighters are priced up compared to their scoring potential. I don’t see many worlds where this fight scores well for DraftKings.
