NBA Injury Round-Up for Draftkings and Fanduel – 11/01/2021

Welcome to a brand new NBA season. We have a lot of changes this year in terms of where players are however the one thing that never changes are the NBA injuries that happen.

The purpose for this article is to give you an early morning look at the injuries on the upcoming slate and how those players could impact your player pool. The most important thing to remember with this article is that while there is a lot of information here you will want to become a VIP Member for the most update and current information as this article will not change. This will give you access to our Discord channel for the #NBA-Breaking-News and #NBA-Coaches-Notes which will have all the up-to-date information as we get it. Not a member? What are you waiting for?!

A quick reminder here as we roll into the new season with so many changes to rosters some of the usual information such as usage will be difficult to grab. However once we get more games under the belt, this information is going to get much cleaner.

Hornets VS Cavaliers – 07:00 PM

Hornets: No injury news to report as of yet.

Notes: While we wait for the injury news here we can ultimately target the same guys we have been. The main thing will Rozier pop-up on the report just coming back from an injury and this being 2nd leg of a B2B. As of right now I’m under the impression he will play. The guys I want to target currently are LaMelo Ball (smashed yesterday), Miles Bridges (finally on-board) and maybe Gordan Hayward. A quick note on Miles Bridges, I have been off him for awhile during this stretch because of the overall way he is playing. He has been smashing and I’m getting in line with the hype.

Cavaliers: Isaac Okoro remains OUT!

Notes: Okoro has missed a few games in a row now so nothing major changes. This increases the minutes for Osman and Love but they are more GPP small percentage plays. This will be a fast pace game as the Hornets love to keep up tempo and wearing the other team out. That being said I absolutely love Evan Mobley tonight along with Sexton and Garland. Jarrett Allen makes for an interesting play however he just hasn’t been performing well recently.

Trail Blazers VS 76ers – 07:00 PM

Trail Blazers: No injury news to report as of yet.

Notes: No injury news to report right now however we are looking at a relatively fully healthy team coming in. Lillard and CJ McCollum are the two main scorers (yes, I know Lillard starting slow) then you can go down to Powell and Jusuf Nurkic. I am not sure how much I will be targeting outside that group but Covington makes a cheaper deep GPP play if you’re so inclined to go down that low.

76ers: Ben Simmons and Grant Riller remain OUT!

Notes: No major news here as these guys have been out for awhile. The way you attack the Blazers is through the guard position so Maxey, Curry (don’t go crazy) and Shake Milton are some ways to attack it. He played 19 minutes last game and we are seeing his price slowly rise. He has a wide range of outcomes so you have to have the courage to take that risk but he an also pay off in this type of matchup. Joel Embid is the alpha here and could smash but if he is held in check, take some shots at Tobias Harris.

***Breaking News Update: Joel Embid has been RULED OUT making this game something that can stay close. Drummond is now a fantastic play along with Tobias Harris****

Pacers VS Spurs – 07:00 PM

Pacers: Malcom Brogdon, Caris LeVert and Kelan Martin are Questionable. Jeremy Lamb is doubtful. Isaiah Jackson and TJ Warren are OUT!

Notes: There is so much news here it’s almost impossible to attack it this early without knowing for sure what is going on. Here is some scenarios on where to go. If Malcom Brogdon is OUT but LeVert plays: we need the minutes on LeVert but ultimately him on the court hurts all these other guards and i’ll likely avoid the entire situation. If Brogdon and LeVert are OUT: Chris Duarte season with a Sabonis chaser. If Brogdon plays but LeVert is OUT: Love Brogdon, like Duarte and am okay with Sabonis.

Spurs: Zach Collins and Doug McDermott are OUT!

Notes: No big news here as these guys have been out for a few games now. Dejounte Murray is the alpha season and can absolutely smash in this matchup. Love Lonnie Walker/Vassell as well as you beat the Pacers through the guards. Finally Poeltl gets a nice matchup against Turner however with the recent news around Embid being out, I’ll likely have more Drummond then Poeltl.

Celtics VS Bulls – 07:30 PM

Celtics: No major injury news as of yet.

Notes: With no major news here you attack this game as you would normally. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are the two main studs but I’m setting a rule not to have them together. Al Horford is also a very nice play while I’ll likely avoid Robert Williams against Vucevic. Not much else I will target here.
Bulls: Colby White and Patrick Williams are OUT!

Notes: We get the stud 4 here of DDR, Vucevic, Lavine and Ball which doesn’t leave a lot of usage elsewhere. They run these rotations nicely and there always seems to be one of these guys on the court. If I had to pick the ones to target it would be Vucevic and Lavine with DDR making it a close 3rd. Jevonte Green should get the start but the frustrating thing is he is not going to get much usage with these guys on the court.

Knicks VS Raptors – 07:30 PM

Knicks: Nerlens Noel is Questionable. Luka Samanic is OUT!

Notes: Noel changes how I feel about Taj which isn’t much but overall nothing really changes here. Julius Randle is the main guy who has been a little rough over the last few games but in a smash spot here tonight. I could see Kemba Walker and Derrick Rose doing some damage as well but these are deeper GPP plays.

Raptors: Scottie Brooks is Doubtful. Pascal Siakam and Yuta Watanabe are OUT!

Notes: My favorite rookie is doubtful which really sucks however this opens up the door for some Chris Boucher as a solid GPP play and Keim Birch should see some additional minutes. Fred VanVleet and OG Anonuby likely see some solid shot and usage increases here along with the two individuals mentioned above.

Hawks VS Wizards – 07:30 PM

Hawks: Onyeka Okongwu is OUT!

Notes: No major news here and the challenge is this team runs so many guys it makes it hard to take a hard stand on anyone. Clint Capela should see a smashable opportunity but if he is kept under 30 minutes again it just makes him really hard to play. Trae Young and John Collins are likely the two I target the most here as they are the main scorers and command the usage while they are on the court.

Wizards: Daniel Gafford is Questionable. Thomas Bryant, Anthony Gill, Rui Hachimura and Cassius Winston are OUT!

Notes: If Gafford misses: You have to continue taking some shots on Harrell however his price is up there for sure. If Gafford plays: This makes Harrell practically unplayable based on his current pricing. Bradley Beal and Spencer Dinwiddle are the main scorers you can target here with Kyle Kuzma as a 3rd option and Raul Neto as a deep GPP play at 5%.

Nuggets VS Grizzlies – 08:00 PM

Nuggets: Vlatko Cancar and Jamal Murray are OUT!

Notes: We have no major injuries here as this guys haven’t played this season and going to be awhile for them to come back. Nikola Jokic is the main guy that you want to smash in tonight and while he does get the JoVal treatment I don’t hate the idea of getting me some Joker. Will Barton makes an interesting play because he is a consistent 30 FPs. You can take some shots at Porter Jr and Aaron Gordon however they are so risky as Barton/Gordon/MPJ all just eat into each other and limit all 3s ceiling.

Grizzlies: Dillon Brooks is OUT!

Notes: Same news, different day here. With Dillon Brooks out you are attacking the same guys here. Ja Morant will need to smash tonight to keep this game close and I have no issues at all attacking him tonight. Melton and Banes price are on the up and coming so they aren’t smash plays like they once were. This could be a high scoring game or a blowout so I may limit where I attack it at.

Timberwolves VS Magic – 08:00

Timberwolves: No major injury news.

Notes: No major injury news here so it’s the same guys you’re attacking. D’Angelo Russell is going to chuck it up 20-22 times a game and can smash if the shot is falling. Karl Anthony-Towns doesn’t play defense however he does score to keep the games close and Anthony Edwards is a beast who can always go off. These are the 3 main guys I’m targeting and on a slate this size not really going elsewhere.

Magic: Gary Harris is Questionable. Michael Carter-Williams, Markelle Fultz, Jonathan Isaac and E’Twaun Moore are OUT!

Notes: No major news here except Harris is questionable. I’m going right back to Mo Bamba as KAT is soft while taking some shots on Wendall Carter Jr, Jalen Suggs, Cole Anthony and Terrance Ross as a deep GPP flyer.

Thunder VS Clippers – 10:30 PM

Thunder: No major injury news.

Notes: While we have no major news here as the team is healthy aside from the starting 5 you’re really reaching on some pot shots with the bench players. The team has like 15 total on their roster and they tend to play a good portion of them. In this matchup I can see targeting SGA, Josh Giddey and maybe Bazley. This game could get out of hand but I worry less about that as they aren’t the same Clippers without Leonard.

Clippers: Serge Ibaka, Keon Johnson, Kawhi Leonard, Marcus Morris and Jason Preston are OUT!

Notes: Nothing surprising here as these guys have missed almost if not all the games so far this year. Paul George is the main player and commands so much usage to get his team rolling. Terrance Mann and Luke Kennard are absolutely in playable along with Zubac who should potentially smash the Thunders front court. Another shot I am okay going with is Hartenstein at a 5% GPP play and maybe Reggie Jackson.

Just a quick reminder here. Make sure you become a VIP member so you can get access to all of our tools including Discord. This DFS NBA injuries article will not update so it’s best to join-up to not miss updates with new important pivot plays. Good luck to all this year and I look forward to seeing all the new members!
