WNBA Strategy Picks for Today

Atlanta Dream vs. Minnesota Lynx

Starting with Atlanta, they’re coming off of a big win against the Liberty, led by Courtney Williams who played 43 minutes and put up a 60 burger, I like going right back to her here tonight as she is still underpriced and this Lynx defense is not great from what they’ve shown so far this year. Tiffany Hayes is also playing very well over their past 3 games, and should play heavy minutes here and the price tag isn’t prohibitive either. Elizabeth Williams also put up a solid double double last game, and she is pretty cheap on both sites as well. If you’re looking to get a bit different in GPPs, Odyssey Sims played 33 minutes off the bench last game which is a bit of a fluke but at the price tag you don’t have much to lose, and Monique Billings has been solid off the bench as well, but she is priced up a bit on both sites.

For the Lynx, their offense starts and stop with Sylvia Fowles, as they’re coming off their first win against a very good Sun team in which she was dominant. Napheesa Collier has been their #2 option on offense, but she is priced right up there with Fowles, and for the price tag I’m playing Fowles. For guards, your main option is going to be Kayla McBride, as she should see the most minutes there, but she’s priced right around value given her fantasy production. Dangerfield looked lost last game and only played 18 minutes, while Layshia Clarendon played 27 minutes off the bench and is a solid value option if you need one there.

5-Star Play: Courtney Williams, Sylvia Fowles

4-Star Play: Tiffany Hayes, Elizabeth Williams, Napheesa Collier, Kayla McBridge

GPP Sleeper: Crystal Dangerfield, Odyssey Sims

Deep Value: Monique Billings, Layshia Clarendon

Dallas Wings vs. Seattle Storm

Dallas has had a bit of a rough start to the season, but the bright spot has been the emergence of Marina Mabrey and Arike Ogunbowale, they have been carrying this Dallas team offensively and are both great plays again here tonight. Kayla Thornton is a GTD here tonight, and if she were to miss then it would make Isabelle Harrison one of the elite value plays on the slate and would be a boost for Charli Collier as well. Collier has been a great FPPM producer so far this year but hasn’t seen more than 18 minutes in a game. Moriah Jefferson is also priced very nicely on FanDuel here after she saw 31 minutes last game and is working her way towards securing those minutes with her play.

Now for the Storm, the top two options for this team are obviously going to be Breanna Stewart and Jewell Loyd. My preference is on Stewart with her rebounding ability and she is the better scorer, but both are elite options here tonight for sure. Sue Bird has also been her rock steady self, and at her price there is some value there as well with how well she’s been playing and dishing assists to Stewart and Loyd. For value, Stephanie Talbot should start again here tonight, she’s one of the better value plays with the injuries/missing players from Seattle. Ezi Magbegor is also in play for GPPs with her upside, but she is very matchup based and this isn’t a game where they should need her too much. If you need another value play off the bench, Jordin Canada is someone you can take a shot on in GPPs in hopes that Talbot struggles.

5-Star Play: Breanna Stewart, Jewell Loyd, Marina Mabrey

4-Star Play: Arike Ogunbowale, Isabelle Harrison, Charli Collier, Sue Bird, Moriah Jefferson

GPP Sleeper: Ezi Magbegor, Stephanie Talbot

Deep Value: Jordin Canada, Moriah Jefferson
