Dover International Speedway

The NASCAR Cup Series will head to Dover for a two-race weekend. They will be making up for a missed race in May while also running the traditional second race late summer. We will see the finishing order from race one determine the starting order for race two with the top 20 being inverted. With the amount of downforce, these cars are making these days we see very little in terms of wrecks. The cars simply handle too well. This means we will see some very long green flag runs. Long run speed will be important here. Keeping up with the changing track conditions will be as well. Often times here the main racing groove will start down low and work its way up to the top groove late in the race. This track doesn’t change much from year to year and is perhaps the best for looking at past results to help make lineup decisions. Of course, the best place to see that info is our DFS Army Research Station.

DraftKings

When looking at this race it is important to realize that we have 89 less laps than normal at a Dover race. This means we will have 66.75 less dominator points available than a normal Dover race. I believe this will be a very important factor in this race. Normally I would look to get three dominators in a Dover lineup, however, I believe we can roll with two for these races. Setting wise it should be at least two in the domination station. I am going to lean heavily on 2017-2018 results here at Dover in trying to find who will be dominator contenders but also who the value plays that can over-deliver might be.

Favorite DK Play: Martin Truex

Truex is phenomenal at Dover. He has finished 4th or better in 6 of his last 7 races here including two wins. He has also led 487 laps during that period as well. I think Truex has to be considered a big favorite to lead a large chunk of this race and finish up front. IN a great position to rack up those dominator points.

FanDuel

This race is one that plays a lot differently than DK. There will be a couple of drivers with clear top 5 upsides with some place diff potential as well. We are going to focus on drivers like Kyle Busch who will start mid-pack and can pair to get place diff points and a high finishing position. FanDuel will only have 31.1 dominator points so I will focus on playing one driver who I think can lead a large chunk like a Truex but otherwise, my main focus will be place differential plays in both races.

Favorite FD Play: Kyle Busch

Kyle should be able to finish top 10 and will posses top 5 upside. He will start deep in the field due to his finishing position last race which means he will offer a solid amount of place differential points as well. Won here un 2017. Top tens in three straight at Dover.
