Call of Duty DFS – Florida Home Series Preview

The Call of Duty League returns to action this weekend as 8 of the 12 CDL teams compete in the Florida Home Series. Teams are split up into two groups for pool play. From there, two winning teams from each group will advance to the single elimination bracket to compete for the Florida Home Series crown, bragging rights for their CoD faithful and a whopping 50 CDL points.

Predictions

One thing that makes Call of Duty League so much fun to watch is that no team is unbeatable. Last week we saw the New York Subliners take down the Chicago Huntsmen in one of the biggest upsets of the season. This tournament looks to be very competitive and I would not be surprised to see another big upset take place.

Winner: Minnesota Røkkr. Minnesota has been so close to winning multiple home series tournaments but hasn’t been able to close any out. I think that changes this weekend. They had a few weeks to rest, practice and study. They are a balanced team that can compete with anyone and I think they assert themselves from the very first game.

Surprises: I think Optic LA and Toronto both have upset potential this weekend. London is a tough first match draw for Optic but I think they can beat Paris in the second round (assuming Atlanta wins). Optic is finally subbing out JKap for Chino and I think Chino will bring a much needed edge to the team. New York was the Cinderella team last series but I think they are being over-hyped. They have only won 2/10 matches this season and are ranked 11th and 10th in S&D and DOM respectively. If Toronto can steal a Hardpoint game, I like their chances to win the series.

DFS Targets: The Minnesota/Florida, London/Optic and Toronto/New York matchups are all viable matchups to target with your DraftKings and FanDuel lineups. Team stacking and game stacking are both viable ways to construct your lineups.

Sneaky Plays: My cheat sheet will be out later tonight but in the meantime, some of my favorite sneakier plays for Friday include: Dashy, Slasher, Chino, Frosty, Fero, Slasher, Wuskin (okay not sneaky but a BEAST), Asim, Skrapz and Alexx.
