WNBA FULL COURT PRESS

The WNBA is well underway now and the wins have started coming in! Congrats to Seoexpert for this excellent takedown of the DK WNBA main GPP!

Atlanta Dream @ Chicago Sky

The Dream travel to Chicago to take on the Sky in this early afternoon matchup. Leading the dream in this matchup will be Jessica Breland. Breland played only 15 minutes in the last game against the Sparks. She should be well-rested to take on the Sky here. Her matchup is an excellent one against the Sky, and if she gets 25+ minutes, she could put up some solid numbers here. Elizabeth Williams is arguably a better option here than Breland. She gets a solid matchup and has been more consistent in here minutes. However, Breland is the more talented player. Tiffany Hayes and Brittney Sykes round up the top plays on this Dream team. The Sky are horrendous against guards, and Hayes and Sykes have been better on the road this season, putting them in prime position to benefit here. Finally, Monique Billings is a name to keep in mind if looking for some value along with Alex Bentley. They have been solid recently.

For the Sky, it all begins with Courtney Vandersloot. She remains the floor general for this team. Her production this season has not been as good as it was last season, but she continues to flash that upside. It also helps that she is putting up 5 FPPG more at home than on the road this season. Diamond DeShields has been phenomenal over her last three games and there is no reason to stop riding the train. She gets a good matchup here and makes for an excellent option on this slate. Allie Quigley is always a threat whenever she takes the court. Her shooting ability makes her capable of blowing open any slate and always puts her in play. On the frontcourt side, Stefanie Dolson and Cheyenne Parker make for interesting options on this slate. Dolson has been playing extremely well and gets a tough but beatable matchup. Parker hasn’t been getting minutes recently, but given her drop in price and the matchup, she is worth taking a shot at in GPPs.

5-Star Play: Courtney Vandersloot, Diamond DeShields, Elizabeth Williams

4-Star Play: Tiffany Hayes, Brittney Sykes, Allie Quigley, Stefanie Dolson, Jessica Breland

Deep Value: Alex Bentley

GPP Sleeper: Cheyenne Parker

Dallas Wings @ Phoenix Mercury

The Wings match into Phoenix and a tough matchup. Glory Johnson and Kayla Thornton have perhaps the best matchups on this Wings team here. Johnson gets to go up against Bonner in a matchup she can fully exploit as Bonner focuses on the offensive end. She also gets to avoid the Griner defense, allowing her to be the beneficiary of some rebounds off that. Thornton put up 40 Fpts in the first meeting and you can be sure the Mercury will try to slow her down here, that said, Thornton continues to play very solid minutes and has good upside here. It’s difficult to see how any of the rest of the Wings are successful here. The guards all have brutal matchups although Arike Ogunbowale and Allisha Gray can excel even in difficult spots. However, it is difficult to have any confidence in them here.

The Mercury continue to deal with injuries, with Diana Taurasi doubtful and Sancho Lytle out for 4-6 weeks. With all that said, there are really only three players I feel confident recommending on this team. Britney Griner gets an excellent matchup here. She should excel and dominate on both sides of the ball here, making her one of the top options on the slate. The offense will run through DeWanna Bonner and her usage will be sky-high. A 40-50 fantasy point affair from Bonner will be right in line here. Finally, Leilani Mitchell will continue to benefit from Taurasi being sidelined. Mitchell has 40+ upside in her. She is also in line to play 30+ minutes in this contest with Taurasi likely out. This makes her an interesting option to use on this slate.

5-Star Play: Brittney Griner, DeWanna Bonner

4-Star Play: Glory Johnson, Kayla Thornton, Leilani Mitchell

Deep Value: Essence Carson

GPP Sleeper: Allisha Gray

DFS Army VIP’s crushed it on the Showdown Slates for the US Open using our Coaches Notes, Domination Station and Research Station!

Our Golf team is top notch, I cannot remember a week where someone has not won 5k or more in the past few months. Our coaches have helped many members have successful weekends like this. Congrats to Jamie2703 for the big win in golf.

Seattle Storm @ Minnesota Lynx

The Storm take on the Lynx in the hammer game of the night. This will be an interesting game, and one of the most intriguing of the night. Natasha Howard has been solid for the Storm, but she hasn’t faired well playing against her former team. It’s hard to see that changing here, but it will be a mistake to count her out. Jordin Canada is the top play on this Storm team. She is currently playing at an extremely high level, and the Lynx are susceptible to guards who can shoot. Sami Whitcomb is playing around 27 MPG making her an interesting option here as well. Her price makes her a solid option on the slate, and her ability to shoot from deep makes her a threat to the Lynx. Alysha Clark does not have the easiest of matchups, but the Lynx are known to be turnover prone, making her a nice option here as she could pick up a few steals here.

Sylvia Fowles is always a top option when the Lynx are on a slate. She hasn’t played well in both previous meetings against the Storm this season, but that can change easily. She carries immense upside in a beatable matchup. Napheesa Collier gets the vaunted matchup against Natasha Howard. We have been attacking this all season and there is no reason to stop now. She makes for a top option here. Temi Fagbenle returned and got 22 minutes in her first game of the season. She is priced too cheap for those number of minutes, making her a solid value option against the Storm. On the guard front, Odyssey Sims makes for a nice option here tonight. The matchup is solid, and her all-around game will be needed by the Lynx. Danielle Robinson and Stephanie Talbot remain interesting GPP pieces in this matchup with good upside.

5-Star Play: Jordin Canada, Napheesa Collier, Sylvia Fowles

4-Star Play: Odyssey Sims, Sami Whitcomb, Natasha Howard

Deep Value: Temi Fagbenle

GPP Sleeper: Danielle Robinson
