NASCAR Cup Series Top Plays for Fanduel at Charlotte Coke 600

Top Tier Plays

Kevin Harvick

Harvick was incredibly fast last week during the All Star race and was also the fastest car at Dover and Kansas in terms of raw speed. I expect Harvick to come alive later into the night and is my favorite to win. They will need to put together a clean race but I believe this will be the first of many wins for Harvick during the summer stretch.

Kyle Busch

Busch Seemingly was the only driver who could match Harvick for speed straight up during the All Star race. Kyle is unbelievably good at Charlotte and is the other top favorite to win. I think Busch will lead early and often this race snatching up the laps led dominator points and boosting his value while also being a huge candidate for the win and certainly a top 3 finish.

Denny Hamlin

Hamlin has been amazing at Charlotte the last 5 years or so securing 8 top 5 and 11 top 10s in his last 13 Charlotte races. Starting 20th he offers strong position differential upside to go along with top 5 finishing potential.

Value Plays

Kyle Larson

Larson won the All Star race last week so we know he can get things done at Charlotte in this low HP high downforce era. He starts 25th and has solid top 10 upside. He offers great place differential points and only cost $10,500. Without issues I expect him to be one of the highest scorers on the slate.

William Byron

At $7,300 he is incredibly affordable. I would expect him to lose a few spots but using past 1.5 mile tracks as the barometer I feel comfortable still playing him. At Kansas he started 2nd and finished 8th and did much the same at Texas having started 2nd there as well and finishing 6th. At this price if he can stay top 8 or so again He should pay off well. Any laps led he can get early will of course help out as well. There is some risk here but he has made this work before and I believe he can do it again

Erik Jones

6th at Kansas, 4th at Texas, 7th at Atlanta. Jones is clearly a top 10 machine at the 1.5 mile tracks and is also coming off a 3rd at Dover. He starts 16th so he not only offers good finishing position potential but also some place differential points as well.

Low Tier/Punts

Matt Dibenedetto

Matt D has been around a 15th – 20th place car a lot this year. He qualified 27th but I believe he will move forward come race time. Given his starting position I do believe there is position differential upside that can make him extremely valuable with a top 20 finish.

Bubba Wallace

Looked great last week during the All Star race and definitely has some momentum going the right direction finally. Cost $4500 and if everything goes right could grab a top 20. Starting 29th that would be a great score.
