PRAIRIE VIEW A&M vs FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON

Prairie View loves to attack the lane and get up shots from 2 while drawing fouls and getting the FT line.  I think that Blackston can be used as a cash option but he is priced at his ceiling basically.  I really like Patterson, Jones, and Andrus for PVAM.  Patterson and Jones should be popular and for good reason.  Williams or Johnson make sense as a GPP dart with me preferring Williams.

FDU is basically going to play their 5 starters as much as they possibly can handle at this point.  Most likely they will end up with 6 guys playing the 200 total minutes.  The problem is that they are priced pretty accurately.  Both Jenkins and Edge are fine cash game plays but I worry about them being able to get much more than 5x at all.  Maybe the play is to use one and accept their 4.5-5x in our GPP lineups and move on.  Holloway Jr is probably my preferred GPP play from FDU as he has shown 50+ fantasy point upside.  Bishop is interesting because PVAM is really weak on the boards.  Malone-Key has been injured for a while and I haven’t seen an update.  Williams is in play for GPPs but I prefer the PVAM guys over him. I have interest in Powell as a dart throw for GPPs as he is the 6th man and could see anywhere from 10-30 minutes at just $3K.

Preferred Plays:  Patterson, Jones, Holloway Jr, Bishop

LIPSCOMB vs DAVIDSON

The best way for Lipscomb to attack Davidson is via the 3.  Well, that is good news for Lipscomb as they shoot the 3 extremely well.  Mathews is their best 3-point shooter and he is also their highest usage player.  I wouldn’t call him cash game safe but the upside is there for GPPs.  Cooper and Marberry are just cash game options for me at their prices, while guys like Pepper, Asadullah, Buckland, and Rose offer intrigue for GPPs.

Davidson’s best shot at holding off a tough Lipscomb squad is by getting to the rim and making FTs.  Gudmundsson is in an excellent spot as he is able to get it done all over the floor and offers us triple-double upside.  Grady is a solid cash game option as he shouldn’t disappoint us in this spot, while Brajkovic and Frampton are GPP plays with my preference being Brajkovic.

Preferred Plays:  Mathews, Pepper, Gudmundsson, Brajkovic

HOFSTRA vs NC STATE

Hofstra will basically run a 6 man rotation which is always nice to see for DFS purposes.  Wright-Foreman can really score the ball and normally I would be all about him but I do worry about the match-up against an NC State team that pushes people away from the 3-point line.  He is going to be a GPP play for me but I might just use him in game stack lineups.  I do not mind using Pemberton for GPPs but I am going to be off of Buie.  I want a lot of exposure to Taylor as I have been targeting bigs vs NC State all season long.  Coburn is a GPP play while Ray could be used in all formats because of his price tag.

I wonder about a team like NC State, they were on the bubble and had to settle for an NIT bid.  Players can come out flat and uninterested or they could come out extremely focused.  With this squad, I lean towards flat.  I do have interest in Johnson and Funderburk in this spot for the Wolfpack.  Johnson has big-time upside and it could easily turn into a Wright-Foreman vs Johnson scoring war.  Funderburk is extremely talented and could pose problems on the interior.

Preferred Plays:  Taylor, Ray, Johnson

SAN DIEGO vs MEMPHIS

For SD, it is all about Piniero and Wright.  I think both are definitely in play for GPPs on this slate as they are the only ones that should help SD stay close.  Williams interests me as a GPP dart because he had been pretty good for most of the season but is coming off two duds that should keep him pretty low owned.

Memphis is pretty easy to figure out for me as I want Martin, some shares of Davenport and then a dart share of Brewton Jr and Thornton.  Martin has been a beast and makes sense for everything on this slate while Davenport really disappointed me last time out.  I am going back to Davenport because I hate jumping off of a guy the very next slate as they tend to bounce back.

Preferred Plays:  Wright, Martin, Davenport

ARKANSAS vs PROVIDENCE

Looking at Arkansas, the best way for them to attack Providence is getting 2s and to the FT line.  The problem with this is the fact that Gafford has decided to skip the NIT to enter the NBA draft.  That should open up more minutes for guys like Chaney, Bailey, and Osabuohien.  Chaney is the one that I have the most interest in as he has shown upside at random times this season.  There will be more shots available for guys like Jones and Harris.  Sills is a GPP dart throw as he has been starting.

The loss of Gafford makes a terrible rebounding team even worse which opens up a lot for Providence.  For the most part, Providence is really tough to figure out.  Their rotation is a head-scratcher and a guy like Diallo is just too expensive for GPP purposes.  The two guys that I have been on for weeks are going to be who I am on in this one.  Watson should be in for a great game, as long as his minutes don’t randomly disappear.  Jackson has been rolling lately and while his price crossing $6K on DK is annoying, I still think he is safe for 24-30 fantasy points.  Reeves and White can be used as GPP dart plays.

Preferred Plays:  Chaney, Watson, Jackson

SOUTH DAKOTA ST vs TEXAS

We lost out on the chance to see Mike Daum play in the NCAA tourney and that really sucks.  Daum managed to slide into the top 10 All-Time NCAA scoring list this season.  He is going to pose a huge threat against a Texas team that sucks at defending the three and just lost their best rebounder to injury.  This team isn’t just all about Daum either, Jenkins and Flatten can get extremely hot from the outside and have huge upside themselves.  Tevin King and Arians offer us upside and most likely will go overlooked.

Texas is one of those teams that could be disappointed or motivated.  It is tough to figure out at this point.  They lost Hayes in their last game and some of the guys could coast after the injury to a lottery pick prospect.  Roach returning from suspension has muddied the guard rotation a bit so that is frustrating.  Osetkowski looked really good the last time out and I think makes a solid play in all formats now that he is under $6K on DK.  Sims is going to be extremely chalky and I like it but I do have worries.  Hepa could steal minutes and be a GPP dart play that wins you the money.  It looked like Febres‘ minutes were safe with the return of Roach so he does carry GPP interest.

Preferred Plays:  Daum, Jenkins, Flatten, Osetkowski, Sims

TEMPLE vs BELMONT

This game should garner a lot of interest with studs.  Alston and Rose are the two guys from Temple we want to target here.  Alston is in the better spot as lead guards have had some really nice games against Belmont this season.  Moorman and Aflakpui both intrigue me for GPP purposes but they are far from a sure thing in this spot.

The main issue with Belmont is the fact that they are priced way up.  That makes it really hard to use multiple, especially if we are using Windler (which we are).  Muszynski is returning from an ankle issue and while I think he has upside in this match-up, I most likely will be fading due to that ankle.  McClain and Murphy are solid options and ones that I would look for over Windler for cash purposes in order to balance out the team slightly.  The only other guy from Belmont that I will have exposure to is Benkert.  There isn’t anything exciting about him but his price tag is going to make it easier to plug in a couple of studs tonight.

Preferred Plays:  Alston, Aflakpui, Windler, Murphy, Benkert

DAYTON vs COLORADO

Dayton is an interesting team that has some talent but they put up some head-scratching performances.  Crutcher is a solid cash game play while Toppin is an extremely talented GPP option.  Mikesell is the only other guy who interests me in this spot.  I want to say he is close a cash game option but will probably leave him as a GPP play.

Normally I would target some players from Colorado but I worry about the solid defense of Dayton.  Bey is an excellent GPP option and Wright is a safe cash game option at this point.  You can look at Schwartz, Gatling, and Battey as GPP options but I won’t be going out of my way to make sure I get one of them plugged in like we have recently.

Preferred Plays:  Toppin, Bey, Battey
