If you guys don’t know me – I am a diehard when it comes to Sports and DFS. I have the luxury of not only watching every game but also using Data as well to break things down to construct proper lineups. My articles with feature a CORE for your NBA lineups.  These are guys I consider Cash Safe.  I will also dive into some GPP pivots and sleeper picks. Draftkings has incorporated a late swap now for NBA. Fanduel is removing the lowest score in your lineups so there is some strategy there to take more risks with punts and sleepers. Pricing will be listed as Fanduel first then Draftkings after.

CORE/CASH

These players have good floors and should be used in your cash games.

PG – Bryn Forbes (3700/3900) – I get it – He burned everyone last night.  He didn’t see much of the court in the 2nd half due to being blown out by the Suns.  You heard me…the Suns.  On Fanduel, he didn’t hurt you that much since he was higher owned and drop score.  So his production didn’t matter.  On DK – slightly different story.  I’m going right back to him today with limited options and the necessity to pay up for studs.  He still will see plenty of minutes and I don’t think POP gets blown out twice.

SG – James Harden (11700/10700) – It took a few weeks for the reigning MVP to get his feet under him and start producing for us DFS folk.  I truly believe the addition of Carmelo really shook things up in a bad way.  You could tell Harden and Paul wanted to get him involved and tried to make it work but it did not take long to figure out it wasn’t going to.  He has dropped back to back 50 point efforts and they play GS at home.  This is the game everyone will target and you can’t ignore Harden in Cash as he will be higher owned.  Plug him in.

SF – Kevin Durant (11800/11100) – As long as Curry is out – You should be playing Durant until he reaches 12.5k.  No joke.  His Usage goes through the roof.  You have to figure out how to get him into your cash games tonight.  He will be high owned and you can’t fade him in cash.  He is a 60 waiting to happen and you can’t be fading a 70% owned 60 in cash.  You just can’t.

Juancho HernanGomez is a viable cheap cash option as well.

PF – PJ Tucker (4800/4500) – PJ Tucker continues to do it all.  He is seeing close to 40 minutes a game and is an integral part of the Rockets Team.  He is their defensive presence.  His floor is great and that is why we want to plug him right into our cash lineups.  He doesn’t have the best of upsides so I don’t mind pivoting off of him in GPPs.

C – Miles Plumlee (3500/3400) – That’s right.  Im writing Miles Fing Plumlee up for Cash.  We need to save some salary somewhere and we have a 3 game slate with no bonafide Cash Game Centers. If Len ends up playing…I will be making adjustments to this play.  I still see it being viable on FD with dropscore format, but on DK you can’t do it.

Editors Note: Len is announced available and this makes Plumlee unplayable on DK and only an option on FD if you cater your lineup for him to be your dropscore.  Long Story Short…Avoid him.

GPP/PIVOTS

These players tend to have lower floors but higher ceilings.  They should be used in GPPs as Pivots off some of your cash game players.

PG – Chris Paul (9000/8000) – Last time CP3 met the warriors he dropped 60.  CP3 is one of those guys that has HUGE upside so I love him for GPPs.  He can throw up duds every now and then in comparison to his price.  However, on a 3 game slate, he is a beautiful GPP option.

SG – Monte Morris (5200/4100) – I don’t have much interest in this game except for some of the secondary players.  Hello Monte Morris.  He is blowout proof and has been producing as of late.  He has hit over 25 in his last 3 games.  He is trending upward so let’s jump on this train before his price becomes unreasonable.

SF – Taurean Prince (6300/5900) – I’m a sucker for Prince.  I used to strongly dislike this guy but all he does is go overlooked and is capable of dropping 50 fantasy point games.  If the Hawks keep this game close, Prince will be a huge reason why.  If he hits 50 and you roster him…start counting your money because he will go 15-20% even on a 3 game slate.

*Editor’s Note: Prince has been ruled out.  My pivot off Prince for GPP’s is Deandre Bembry. He is 4800/4000.  He will see extra minutes without Prince.

PF – Paul Millsap (6200/5800) – Revenge Game anyone?  He’s only logged in 1 game against Atlanta and dropped a 35.  I’m a sucker for revenge games in NBA.  Players in NBA have more control to really stick it to their former teams that decided they weren’t worth it.  It does become personal.  MillSap has true 40 point upside if this game stays close.

C – Clint Capela (8100/7000) – Capela is my favorite GPP center tonight.  I love pairing him up with CP3.  They correlate well.  He hasn’t had great games against the Warriors so I am relegating him to GPP only.  He does have 50 point upside though in a game like this if he can stack up some blocks.

I’ll be posting the rest of my plays to our VIPs in our Forums. On 3 game slates – I like to game theory a bit so I will doing a breakdown in our Forums as lock approaches!  Always keep your eyes peeled for injury news as value will open up.  Become a VIP MEMBER – Get Instant Access to our Exclusive Forums!
