Kickin it on the Pitch w/ TreyJ – Gameweek 12 EPL DFS for Fanduel & Draftkings

If you are an avid reader of mine, you will know I love the DFS slates where we are missing the big boys. More importantly, thank you for reading. I appreciate it. This is a 5 game slate that only includes Tottenham in the hammer match of the day. Roster Construction will be varied with so many teams in good spots. In the Army, we continue to roll. Our subs are on the mark and we are building our bankrolls week by week. To give you an idea, we were on 19 of the 21 goals scored (we aren’t counting the own goal in the Juve/Manchester United match) on the main slate for Champions League on Wednesday. We are here for you; and, even though you are here reading about soccer, we are here for you in everything DFS.

The DFS Army has you covered for all your DFS needs. NFL season is back and you are probably looking to scratch that itch as you see Draftkings and Fanduel commercials come across your tv screens. With tools like the Domination Station, the best optimizer in the game, and a full staff of pros and coaches with the common goal of helping you become a better DFS player, we’ll provide the back scratcher. NFL is great but there is so much more waiting for you inside: from NBA to Tennis, or PGA to MMA, and everything in between. The best aspect of your subscription is the coaching channels where you have access to these industry pros and specific DFS coaches. Sure, you could just read the articles, but the coaching channels are where the magic happens. Use promo code GOAL for 10% off your lifetime subscription of ($44.99/mo after discount) and start taking your DFS game to the next level! You will get more here, for less, than anywhere else. Be a part of the best team in the industry.

Southampton v Watford

While Watford had a slight setback last week, Southampton hasn’t had that chance since they haven’t stepped forward, at least as far as results are concerned. Watford is almost the inverse over that same span, having scored 5 and conceded 1. When looking at the entire season, Watford’s away defense is slightly above average. Even though Southampton is getting a couple key players back from injury, they still just have an average defense. They have been getting a little unlucky on the offensive side and they finally got back on the scoresheet against Manchester City last week. This match sets up as a fairly even battle possession-wise and possibly some peripherals. Overall, I see it as a GPP game and my favorite target is Roberto Pereyra.

Huddersfield v West Ham

This is one of those matches that seems like it will be better for peripherals than scoring. In a vacuum, it may seem like Huddersfield should get thrashed but their home defense is actually slightly above league average. I think it more likely that this game gets played in the midfield and it yields a better return for those guys that get interceptions and tackles. I will be delving into the numbers a bit more in our coaching channels before the game; but, right now, I don’t see this as a match you need to jump all over. Last week was a nice win for West Ham but let the public jump on it while you go to games you need to win.

Leicester v Burnley

In the last segment, I mentioned West Ham blowing up last week. That is because they were playing Burnley. Burnley has not been Burnley this season, save for a couple matches. Last season, they were staunch defenders. Now, they are a sieve. For whatever reason, they allow goals at a high rate. Add to the equation that this is Leicester’s first match at home since the terrible tragedy that befell their beloved owner. Burnley could be in for a long day. Before I continue, I will say that Leicester was in smash spots (via the numbers) in the weeks leading up to this and they managed to do what they could to not smash. I do think they win on home soil. I would expect Marc Albrighton to be the facilitator with James Maddison out. He makes a better cash play on Draftkings, given his style of play. James Vardy will be a popular GPP play.

Hey! I just wanted to take a break to tell you about our Beat The Bookie service over at the DFS Army. With the supreme court ruling that sports betting is legal, the DFS Army has launched their “Beat the Bookie” site. This is where we have handicappers teaching members how to make bets as well as sharing their proven models. If you have ever wanted to try your hand at sports betting, it’s better to do it with the help of winners in your ear. We have teamed up with the site MyBookie. If you are a new user and deposit at least $50, you will get a free month of the DFS Army Beat the Bookie service.

Newcastle v Bournemouth

Newcastle has been doing some work improving on the defensive side of the ball, as they have only conceded 1 goal in the last 3 weeks. I do think they will struggle to keep that level of play as they could be without key players at every level, including possibly their most important player in Jonjo Shelvey. Bournemouth is one of the teams I want to target in my lineups. Their attack on the road has seen a dip in recent weeks but a heavily rotated Newcastle squad could be just what they need to get the job done. I am strongly considering Ryan Fraser in my cash lineups.

Crystal Palace v Tottenham

Tottenham is starting to get healthy. That could spell a lot of trouble for a team that has struggled to score in their own house. Seriously, they have 2 goals and both were pens given by Arsenal. Tottenham is no stranger to seeing a conceded penalty igniting the home faithful. They have conceded 2 pens, themselves, on the road. This is not a setup to say that I am playing Milivojevic. I am not. What I am saying is that Crystal Palace can’t score without help at home and that is a real issue. It won’t stay that way forever, but this team needs goal scorers. They don’t look to be getting any help this week and that is why I side with the Spurs. Given the 1 fewer match, I do not mind using Christian Eriksen in cash. They have asked him to start a little deeper and I think that can only add to his total. As a defender, he isn’t that great but he can tackle a little bit. That brings up his floor, even if it lowers his ceiling a tad by sitting deeper on the pitch.

That’s the game breakdown for this week. Remember, this is a top-level view and things can change. Of course, you know about the most important hour in the soccer DFS world. We will always have free content. However, the good stuff is saved for the ones who are willing to go the extra step. We will stand with you if you stand with us. Good luck this week!
