SYRACUSE vs OHIO ST
With Chukwu being available to play in this game for Syracuse, it takes away the love that I have for Sidibe. I still like Sidibe for GPP purposes as we never know what might be lingering for Chukwu coming off of a groin injury. As always, Brissett is in play for cash on both sites. He has been shooting the ball pretty atrociously for a few games now and at some point that will change and he might explode for a 30-1o type of a game. Have to assume that Howard will see more than 19 minutes in his 2nd game back from injury and I think that makes him an excellent play on FD. Hughes is always in play for cash as he has been one of the most consistent performers in CBB this season. Battle is in play even though I find myself preferring other Cuse players. Carey is a name that I want to put into a GPP as he is a very talented freshman who has shown ridiculous upside at his current price point.
I think this is a sneaky spot for some Ohio St players to return value. My two preferred players are K.Wesson and K.Woods. Both guys are priced at a point where they offer some very nice upside in terms of GPP play. I have no issues with playing Jackson as he had been my preferred play to begin the season. One GPP dart I want a piece of is D.Washington as he is capable of getting white-hot from beyond the arc and we know that the Syracuse zone will force you to fire away from deep.
VCU vs OLD DOMINION — DK only
I have come across a huge conundrum when it comes to VCU this evening. They have the lowest projected team total on the slate while playing in the game with the lowest projected total. The issue is that I feel like most of VCU is mispriced on the cheap end. The best way for VCU to attack ODU is by knocking down their outside shots. That puts Evans and Jenkins at the top of my list for plays. Vann should be priced higher and I believe if this wasn’t projected to be such a slow game that he would be priced around $7500 or more. Simms, Mobley, and Santos-Silva are guys that I am completely fine plugging into my lineups as the last man in. Santos-Silva intrigues me at his cheap price point for cash.
With the fast-paced, turnover prone style of VCU, you would think that I would have some interest in ODU. That is not the case as I just do not see a ton to like. Caver and Stith are basically everything to this team, but I feel like both are too expensive. If I have to choose one of the two its Stith and that is probably only for cash. A deep GPP play might be Green as he has shown the ability to go for 25 fantasy points so far this season at just $3900. Of course, now that I said that about Caver I would expect him to go for 45+ tonight.
VIRGINIA vs MARYLAND
This game should be pretty similar to the one above, however, there are not a ton of cheaper spots to attack. I will continue to use Hunter as he offers a very solid floor. Jerome is an interesting GPP play on DK thanks to his ability to knock down the 3. Clark‘s increase in minutes has me interested as he could be a plug and play cash option at just $4100 on DK and $4900 on FD.
Maryland’s strengths do not match-up with Virginia’s weaknesses so this is going to be an interesting game. Maryland does a great job of attacking the offensive glass and converting on put-backs. My preferred play from Maryland is Fernando as he is capable of getting there without needing much more than 10-12 shots from the field. He is less likely to suffer than somebody like Cowan who needs more possessions to get his shots up. Morsell appears to be a solid cash option without much upside in this match-up and I think S.Smith is an interesting GPP play, especially on FD.

SAN DIEGO vs MISSISSIPPI
Pineiro is definitely the top play for SD as he does everything and seems to be rather safe. I would prefer using him on FD, but am not against his $9300 price tag on DK. Carter is a strong offensive player, however, I worry about him contributing enough in other categories to hit and exceed value tonight. Wright is a GPP play for sure in this match-up as he has the ability to go for 35+ fantasy points. Williams is a much better DK play than he is on FD. I have a ton of interest in Massalski as a GPP play on DK this evening as he has double-double ability to go along with multiple block upside.
I personally think that the GPP winning lineup on each site tonight will have at least 1 member of Ole Miss. The issue is trying to pinpoint which one to plug in. Thanks to FD pricing, I believe the man over there is T.Davis as he is $2200 cheaper than he is on DK and is just the third highest priced member of this team. Shuler comes across as just an OK GPP option tonight. Tyree is probably my favorite option on DK and is certainly in play on FD. I have a decent amount of GPP interest in Stevens tonight on both sites as he has the upside and price point to help take down a GPP.
MONTANA vs CREIGHTON — DK Only
With this game being the highest projected total on the slate, I feel like we need to find places to go and get exposure to the high scorers. Oguine strikes me as the perfect GPP play as he has big time upside at a higher price point for a small team. Generally, that means he is going to be ignored by the public for bigger name players. I think that Rorie is a solid cash game player, however, I think his ceiling is limited at his price point. Pridgett is my top GPP play for Montana as he has the highest usage rate when he is on the floor and is also their best offensive rebounder against a team that struggles a bit on the glass. Moorehead at $3600 appears to be a lock-in type play as he is getting a bunch of minutes and should offer a solid floor. Dorsey and Falls are interesting GPP options, however, Falls did not play the last game and there is no news as to why.
It appears that Creighton has been mispriced in a game with such a high total. Creighton is also projected with the highest team total on the DK slate this evening. There is a good chance you see me with 2+ Blue Jays on every lineup tonight. I want pieces of Alexander, Ballock, Jefferson, Mintz, Zegarowski, and Krampelj. If I had to pick favorites it would be Alexander and Mintz for cash with Zegarowski and Ballock being my top GPP plays.
NORTH CAROLINA vs MICHIGAN
This game is going to have an interesting contrast as UNC is one of the fastest teams in the country while Michigan is one of the slowest teams. Overall there just is not a ton to like about the price points of the Tar Heels. This will be the lowest we see Luke Maye all season long and he arguably has the best match-up for the Heels tonight. White has been on a roll lately, however, he has a super tough head to head spot against Simpson. I think that Johnson and Kenny Williams are OK cash options, but would prefer to look elsewhere around their price points. Little interests me from a GPP standpoint, especially on FD at just $5700.
Michigan gets a huge pace bump in this game and should see more possessions than they are used to. That opens them up as excellent plays in both GPPs and cash. I will be using 4 players from the Wolverines as this seems to fit the play style of Matthews and Poole, while I think Simpson is too cheap on DK and Brazdeikis has been as advertised to begin the season. Teske may be an interesting GPP play as he should be needed against Brooks.
PURDUE vs FLORIDA ST
Carsen Edwards might be my top overall cash game play tonight as he is ultra safe and has gone for 36+ on DK and 33+ on FD in every game so far this season. Cline seems like an OK cash play as I just do not see much of a ceiling. For GPPs, I would consider Boudreaux and Eastern as they have both shown GPP winning ability, but they offer a pretty ugly floor.
When it comes to FSU, I honestly see nothing to like. The rotation of players is too big for my liking and they commit a large number of fouls. I hate dealing with foul issues as it’s an easy way to ruin a good night. If I use anybody it will be MJ Walker for GPP upside and Koumadje on FD due to his $4600 price tag.
GEORGIA TECH vs NORTHWESTERN
This game is most likely going to be pretty ugly with a lot of time spent at the FT line and some pretty ugly looking offensive sets. The only player I have interest in on FD is Haywood for GPPs as he is pretty volatile. I like his price more on DK and can get behind using Devoe and Banks over there. I think I prefer Devoe slightly due to his upside, however, Banks is coming off of playing 30 minutes and should he see that many minutes again he should have no problem hitting value even at his low usage.
I do not like the prices of Northwestern in this game so I am going to be taking a fade stance. I could list a couple of guys that could pay off, however, I think the best is to just pass and look elsewhere. I assumed I would always write up Law, but that price just doesn’t work on this slate, in this match-up.
RUTGERS vs MIAMI — FD Only
I have a slight interest in Rutgers’ best two players, Omoruyi and Baker. I like Omoruyi because he has an excellent foul drawing style of play that matches up with the fact that the big men of Miami commit a decent number of fouls. Baker seems like he’s a fit in a game that could get very up and down at times with the guards of Miami. The rest of the team is pretty blah in terms of fantasy upside. Kiss could go for 20+ fantasy points and payoff his cheap price tag.
Miami is loaded with GPP options in a game that they should be able to approach 80 points. I could make a case to use Lykes, Izundu, Lawrence, Johnson, Vasiljevic, and Waardenburg. Izundu worries me due to foul trouble, however, he has shown to have an insanely high ceiling. Johnson is playing extremely well right now and he might be my preferred option from the Hurricanes. Lawrence fits my normal building style as he is an athletic wing that does a bit of everything. Vasiljevic is a sharpshooter while Waardenburg could see extra minutes based on possible foul trouble. Lykes is a small PG who isn’t afraid and can also get hot from deep.
HAWAII vs UCLA — FD Only
There isn’t a ton that stands out for Hawaii, even though they are getting a pretty nice pace bump. Raimo, Purchase, Stansberry, and Avea are guys that could be plugged in based on the high total. Avea intrigues me the most at his cheap price point, while Standberry has the highest usage rate, but is only the 4th highest priced member of Hawaii.
This seems like a spot that Moses Brown just destroys as Hawaii is pretty undersized. Wilkes and Hands are guys that should be used quite a bit as well. They both offer double-double upside with their ability to share the basketball. I would not argue against using Smith, Riley, Hill, or Ali as this game should be UCLA’s to control the entire way.
